Bed by the Sea is a unique hotel located in one of Vlissingen's preserved Jugendstil buildings. The buildings have been renovated, but their nostalgic, early twentieth century atmosphere has been retained. The rooms are comfortably furnished and equipped with an ensuite bathroom. The direct vicinity of Hotel Bed by the Sea offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation. The Arsenaal with its Pirate Park sea aquarium housing sharks and rays is great fun for all ages; you can even stroke the rays! The city's 65-metre high watchtower offers a stunning view of Vlissingen and the passing shipping traffic on the Westerschelde. Situated by the harbour is the Zeeuws Martime muZEEum. Vlissingen is also a great place to enjoy the fresh sea breeze, sunbathe on the nearby beach, take a stroll on the promenade or enjoy a rejuvenating walk or bike ride through the woods and dunes. The nearby provincial capital of Middelburg is also a charming city; perfect for a day out, while the gothic Town Hall and the Lange Jan abbey tower are also a joy to see.
