Hotel De Beer is a practical and centrally located hotel in the 'Europoort' harbour area of Rotterdam. This quiet hotel is only a 25-minute drive away from the city centre of Rotterdam, and close to the recreation area 'De Brielse Maas'. As such, the hotel is a good place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area. The hotel garden offers shade and tranquility and guests of the hotel can enjoy the tennis courts.

However, if you have business arrangements to make, Hotel De Beer is also an excellent place to be. The hotel has no less than 15 conference rooms that can together accommodate 250 people. All audiovisual equipment that is needed for your meetings can be provided by the hotel. To end a successful day of meetings, a visit to the hotel restaurant will be perfect; here you can enjoy a quick lunch or an extensive three course meal. Looking out over the 'Hartelkanaal' (Hartel Canal), guests can enjoy the hotel's professional kitchen, either in the restaurant itself or on the terrace by the water.

The 72 rooms of the hotel all cater to every need. All rooms have a bathhroom with a shower and toilet, and are equipped with a desk, soundproof windows, a telephone and television. The luxury suites not only have extra space and an nice interior, but are also equipped with air conditioning. All hotel guests can freely enjoy the soccer field, and tennnis courts. Surroundings

Hotel De Beer is located in the Europoort Rotterdam, one of the busiest and most impressive harbour areas in the world. Besides the docks, however, this area also has the recreation area 'De Brielse Maas', an excellent place to go walking, biking, or play watersports. The city centre of Rotterdam is approximately 25 minutes away by car. Here you can go shopping or enjoy the city's nightlife and tourist attractions. Many other cities worth seeing are also close by: The Hague is less than 20 km away from the hotel and the city centre of Delft (from where the famous blue and white Delftware pottery originates) is only 15 km away.

Food and Drinks

In the morning hotel guests can enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet that is set up from 06:00 to 10:00 h. in the breakfast area. The hotel has its own à la carte restaurant, where you can enjoy a complete three-, four-, or five-course meal. In addition, you will also have a rich choice from the restaurant's extensive wine menu. The restaurant is open from 11:30 to 14:30 h. and from 18:00 to 21:30 h.; a reservation is recommended. The hotel also has a brasserie, where guests can have a sandwich, salad, or a quick meal from 10:00 to 24:00 h. Guests can also enjoy their meals on the terrace by the water, which on nice days is also the location for a festive Saturday barbecue. For large groups and business meetings the hotel has a seperate restaurant.

  • + Close to the ferry Terminal. Excellent shower room Comfortable bed
  • – Constant traffic noise,the option is either to have an open window or have the noise from the air conditioning. Evening meal menu very poor, very pretentious. Breakfast was disappointing, toaster did not work, waiter not interested in helping, coffee mugs with no handles not brilliant.

Great spot at the weekend
  • + Very close to motorway network so very easy to get around, only 15 mins. from central Rotterdam. Very Clean very quiet at the weekend. If the sun is shining there is a great patio next to the river.
  • – If the wind is in the wrong direction it will have quite a strong 'petro chemical' smell in the air as it is within the Euro-port area.

  • + The deluxe room was very spacious clean and comfortable, nice view of the canal. Bright modern restaurant, good varied menu.
