In the middle of a quiet district of Ghent with lots of green is the charming Astoria Hotel Gent. Within walking distance is the Ghent Sint-Pieters station. By train other cities such as Bruges, Antwerp and Brussels can be reached within one hour. Close by you can get a breath of fresh air in one of the parks, such as the Paul de Smet de Naeyerpark, or a little further in the great Citadel Park. The hotel has a covered bicycle shed service and bicycle rent service with good women?s and men's bicycles. The staff will be happy to inform you about the best spots in Ghent.
The trendy, classically furnished rooms breathe an atmosphere of peace and luxury. All rooms have a private bathroom with bath and/or shower and toilet. They also come with an excellent bed, a flatscreen TV, telephone and a radio. The hotel has a beautiful conservatory with a terrace, where it is very pleasant to sit. Food and Drinks
Every day between 07:30 to 10:00 h. a delicious fresh home made breakfast buffet is served in the beautiful breakfast room. On weekends guests can have breakfast between 08:30 and 10:00 h.
The homely hotel bar is open from 10:00 to 22:00 h. and it is a welcoming place to enjoy your coffee, tea or drink. (opening hours are subject to change).
The hotel does not serve lunch and dinner, but in the vicinity are many good restaurants, the hotel staff will gladly advise.

Surroundings
Art lovers will be comfortable in the Astoria Hotel Gent. You can visit the municipal museum of contemporary art SMAK, or the Museum of Fine Arts. If you love markets, every Sunday you can follow a 3 kilometre long route along all Ghent markets. The Kouter, flower and plant market, the Ajuinlei with second-hand books, St. Michael's Square with its food market, the Vegetable market where from April to September a craft market is held. And then to the Friday Market with birds, Bij St. Jacobs with second-hand products, to the Old Cattle Market where animals and used bikes are sold. Nearby are also the International Congress Centre, the exhibition centres and the University of Ghent.
