The hostel offers 12 rooms for 1 up to 6 persons and there are competitively priced dorm beds available as well. This makes the Simplon Jongerenhostel a suitable accommodation for both single travellers and groups. The 12 rooms and 3 dorms offer a hostelcapacity of 91 beds. The hostel is a training company for working staff.
For a fun and pleasant time in Groningen the Simplon Jongerenhostel is a fine operating base. It is located in the Ebbingekwartier, an area that has a creative atmosphere with numerous shops, companies and cultural institutions such as the Simplon pop stage and the Platform theatre.
The hostel with its unique courtyard is located in the heart of this vibrant area, at a stone's throw from the city 'beach'. You like shopping and a vibrant nightlife? The city centre can be easily and swiftly reached on foot. It is also great to unwind in the Noorderplantsoen park or at the Hoornse Meer lake, which is located on the south side of the city. The attractive rooms, each decorated with a different theme, have excellent box-spring beds and a television. Luggage lockers are available at the dorm rooms and there is a laundry area with washer and dryer as well.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served daily from 07:00 to 11:00 h. Eetcafe 73-2 restaurant is open for an affordable lunch Monday through Saturday from 12:00 to 15:30 h. and dining is possible from 17:00 to 21:00 h. Groups can also be catered for with special barbecues, cold-hot buffets and group menus.

Free use of internet at the reception and free use of Wif in the entire hotel.
Other information
- The hostel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check in until 22:00 h.
- Pets are not allowed, except for guide dogs.
- Luggage can be stored at the hostel (on request).
- The hotel rooms on the ground floor are accessible to disabled guests, however there are no adapted bathrooms.
