+ Really liked the staff at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel is basic, but a great location and free wifi.

- Weekend club noise lasted into the wee hours. Not good for light sleepers.

+ Very close to St.Bavo Grote Kerk, (and its world famous old organ), where there was a rare chance to hear a recital by the celebrated Russian concert organist Konstantin Volostnov, An important consideration for an old lady of 82 like me!!. The staff were always helpful Also a great opportunity to experience the Dutch culture of hous architecture, canals and goog food!

+ Very nice service at breakfast.

- My room was like a bloom closet of 4 qm with ugly furniture! This loveless arrangement costs 45,00 Euro. Incredible! And the staircase was stinking from garbage.

+ our room had a nice view of the square and church and it was nice to have a place in the town to take a break and use the restrooms without having to leave the central area.

- rooms are basic, but if you are going there to see the city a luxury room could be a waste of money.

- room very cramped + fixtures and fittings a little basic. Incredibly hot in room and only one window could be opened.

- Twin room very small, badly decorated and uncomfortable. Too hot to sleep with window closed, too noisy to sleep with window open. A terrible experience.

+ Very clean and comfortable room. Beautiful view from my window - looking into the market square and church only metres away, 3 piece band playing to the cafe guests below the hotel - just lovely. Great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff

- Quite a few stairs up to the third floor, shower is quite small.

- Hotel guests in neighbouring rooms, part of a group, made much noise from six in the afternoon until after midnight.

+ The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Also, the hotel has a great location, on Haarlem's central square and a walk of 10 minutes from the train station.

- There's a night club nearby, although the live music there is over by 11:00 (weekdays).

+ Cute bar and restaurant. Very nice receptionist. Great location. Right in the middle of everything. Very quiet. Room was clean.

- Need to move the large bags of laundry sitting on the steps. They block the path up and downstairs.

+ Very nice personnel both the girl at the reception, the bar tenders, the cleaning ladies), very good breakfast (various dishes, incling fresh fruits, cereals, yogurt and many others), 10 points location (just in the center of Haarlem). If I'll have the chance for the future, I'll stay again. I've stayed in a room with shared shower and toilet, but it was clean and the price/ room is very low: 42,50 Euro/night. I had a sink in the room. Very good quality/price report. I deffinitely recommend the hotel for a few nights accomodation and Haarlem is wonderful !

- Very stairy steps, a bit noisy rooms because of the thin walls and of some craizy tourists who start figting after 10 pm. I asked the receptionist to talk to them and he came right away and solved the problem. After his intervention - everything came to normal.

+ Very nice breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. Staff very helpful. Rooms comfortable and warm. Quiet given its location right on the main square. Very convenient to restaurants and most of the tourist sites. Easy walk from the train station with your bags.

- Wifi not working when I was there. Toilet upstairs was very hot all the time even if you opened the window. Shower cubicle for the upstairs rooms a little small (very little space to put your clothes where they wouldn't get wet). Very steep stairs to the rooms at the top.

+ We had a fantastic time. It was very nite and clean room. Girl from reception/bar was lovely and very helpful. Location is brill, in the middle of City Centre, close to Bike Rental, Station, Shops, cafes.

- Room was very tiny and stairs are very danger.

+ Incredible Location. Located right in the Haarlem city center across from the incredible cathedral. Within walking distance of everything - train station, windmil, etc. Included a great breakfast!

- The stairs were the steepest stairs I've ever seen in my life! Can be difficult to manage with luggage.

+ Amazing location - right in the middle of the ancient town!, comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, nice breakfast (buffet), opportunity to be independent from the reception and walk out at any time of the day and night.

- The only thing which puzzled me was paying the same amount for a single room with facilities in the corridor and for a bed in the double room with facilities inside.

+ Nicely located in the center of the town. Nice restaurant downstairs. Able to check in quite early even though the room was not cleaned.

- Cold as we took possession of the room. The bathroom stayed cold throughout the stay. Small room, not renovated for quite a while. Extremely steep stairway up to the second floor.

+ Small hotel of local character in excellent central location. Easy access at Ground Floor Level. Breakfast good value.

- In need of decoration especially in the bedrooms; en suite bathroom in need of thorough cleaning and maintenance. And the staircase from ground to 1st floor - maybe its design and format are 'typically Dutch', but it is exteremly dangerous - its steepness and very narrow depth of tread.

+ I dont think you could find a better location in haarlem. In the grote market just 10 meters from the cathedral. I spent a few mornings just staring at it from my window. The resteraunt was delicious and resonably priced. The Staff were some of the nicest people i met in haarlem.

- The rooms were a little small, but this didnt really bother me. There are smoking restrictions so we had to hit the coffee shop at night on the way in before bed.

- Quite noisy at nights because it's in a very popular square and the hotel bar becomes a kind of disco.

+ The bar/restaurant area was very comfortable and relaxed better than others nearby. The friendliness of the staff raised this premises above others we've stayed in. An injection of cash will make it excellent but would no doubt raise the prices too - we can't have it all ways.
