Mr K Depressing: 9 August 2010; 2.8; + A once stately provincial hotel that has been heavy-handedly refurbished to look like any other hotel in the chain. If you fancy vinyl wall paper and plywood veneer furniture and don't mind paying 6 â¬ per hour for internet access, this is the place to stay in Haarlem.; - The railway station opposite the hotel is one big building site (probably for years to come). You have to find your own parking space and the beds are worn soft to the point where you keep rolling down the center of the mattress. And when you need a minibar the most - there is none. Makes 175 € for a double seem rather steep.

Bar open until midnight and breakfast open until 10a. Great location. (We will stay at Golden Tulip Lion d'Or Haarlem again!); - Placement of a hall drink vending machine OR offer the bar to sell bottled water, since there is no room refrigerator/mini bar. We used the Haarlem train station vending machines daily for purchasing our bottled water instead. (Just a convenience suggestion not a minus point.)

Amanda: 4 November 2007; 9.6; + The location of this hotel is perfect for a stay in Haarlem and to visit Amsterdam. It´s directly in front of the train and bus station, which makes it only a 20 minute train ride to downtown Amsterdam. There are also buses (#300) directly to Schipol airport twice every 15 minutes. Breakfast is quite good and the staff very friendly. I will stay here again the next time I visit Amsterdam!; - The third bed in our room was a rollaway, which I didn´t expect, but overall the quality of the room was pretty good.

William Gallanger: 2 May 2007; 9.6; + Nice reception staff, but they dont seem to have local knowledge to advise a traveler guest. I would advise the staff to try out the tourist areas and learn about Haarlem. I say this because the Hotel's information manual says the staff is there to assist and offer good information about where to eat and go, but when I asked the staff, they didnt have a clue because they dont go to the tourist places. So the hotel should educate it's staff or change the information guest manual.; - Hotel was under renovation and work started at 7 am and very noisy construction workers. The reception said that the workers dont understand to make noise too early.

Lekker bedden, uittekende locatie, vlakbij station en vlakbij centrum.; - Badkamer tussen de voegen wat vies. Geen bodylotion. Vond ik voor de prijs die je betaald wat minpuntjes. Met ontbijt zelf ei bakken duurt lang, ik heb liever kant en klaar roerei.

Ze hadden de weg in de buurt afgesloten en toen we vroegen hoe we het beste daar konden komen met onze auto en waar we moesten parkeren kregen we van het meisje achter de bali een kort en afgemeten antwoord. Er lagen wel routebeschrijvingen die ze ons gaf. maar toch, dat had wel een beetje vriendelijker gekund.; - Dat was dus het bovenstaande. Heb het verkeerd om gedaan maar geen zin meer om te veranderen. Het pluspunt is dus de gunstige ligging bij het centrum en het mooie hotel.

Kamer aan zijkant kijkt uit op bouwvallen. Ontbijt beneden de maat. Achterstallig Onderhoud zowel op kamers als in restaurant; oa wastafek kraan loopt slecht af.

Bas Prima hotel voor stad en strand.: 11 October 2010; 7.6; + Het hotel is een prima uitvalsbasis voor een weekend Haarlem. Zeer dicht bij het station Haarlem, waar wij overigens niets van hebben gehoord. Ook dicht bij centrum (5-10 min lopen.) met de trein ben je binnen 10 min in Zandvoort! De kamer was ruim, schoon evv flatscreen. Prima kamer en zeer vriendelijke service, aan de frontoffice wist men de tweede keer mijn naam al. Getuigt van interesse voor gast!; - Mijn hoofdkussen was erg hoog. Dit is weliswaar kwestie van smaak, maar was wel vervelend. De broodjes (incl croissant) waren zondagmorgen tijdens het ontbijt niet erg vers. Ontbijt verder was ok.

anoniem Geen sprankelend hotel, maar prima voor 1 dag: 8 August 2010; 7.0; + Ligging goed, direct naast CS, kamer ruim en schoon.; - Benauwd in het hotel op hogere verdiepingen (maar airco op kamer werkte prima), zeer gehorige kamers, slechte bedden en ontbijt was geen vier sterren waard (je moet je eitje zélf bakken op een bakplaatje...!)

Joke Sorgdrager Eenvoudig hotel, goed genoeg, maar geen vier sterren waard: 17 May 2010; 7.0; + Prima bedden. Genoeg ruimte in badkamer voor plaatsen toilettassen. Bij de locatie van dit hotel past ook goed als thema: winkelen!; - Ontbijt is slecht verzorgd als je iets later komt, maar wel ruim binnen de tijd. Klein, ongezellig barretje.

A.J Krol Redelijk hotel , dicht bij centrum: 17 May 2010; 6.8; + goed ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel; - In het hele hotel vonden wij het erg warm, te warm. De bedden zijn aan vervanging toe, je rolt automatisch naar t midden! maak er een douche van in paats van in het bad douchen.Veel mensen zullen last hebben om uit het bad te komen.

Anonymous Prima locatie in een superleuke winkelstad Haarlem: 30 March 2010; 8.2; + Locatie van het hotel. Direct naast het station en op 5 minuten loopafstand van het centrum. Perfecte stad om te winkelen. Ruime hotelkamer en hulpvaardige receptionistes.; - Ontbijt was voor Golden Tulip begrippen niet goed. Pasta en pindakaas in potten op het buffet met daarbij een mes erin is niet van deze tijd. Het brood werd aangevuld vanuit plastic zakjes en de croissants waren niet vers op de zondagochtend.
