Hotel Marktzicht is located in the bustling, car-free centre of historic Harderwijk. The Dolfinarium Harderwijk lies within walking distance of Hotel Marktzicht, and is the largest marine animal park in Europe. Here visitors can stroke sharks or enjoy spectacular shows with dolphins, walruses, sea lions and seals. Other attractions in the area include the Walibi World theme park, the Apenheul monkey zoo and Bataviastad. Aviodrome, the national aviation theme park is situated in Flevoland, and is open throughout the entire year. It has a large exhibition area, a cinema and a large outdoor area with a number of planes.
Food and Drinks
A delicious breakfast buffet is available in the breakfast area on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 08:00 until 10:30. A packed breakfast/lunch is also available on request.
There is also a good choice of restaurants in Harderwijk, especially around the main square, where you'll also find cosy bars and outdoor cafés.

At reception you'll receive a free permit allowing you to park free of charge during your stay at the P16 car park on Vitringasingel, just 300 metres from the hotel. However, don't forget to purchase a parking ticket if you haven't yet collected your permit at the hotel. The hotel also rents out parking spaces at the P15 car park on de Hortus. The hotel can be accessed via the road: 'Luttekepoortstraat' (sat nav tip), which is obstructed by a barrier. You can contact reception via the intercom system so that the barrier raised, allowing you to drop off and collect your luggage.

One child up to 3 years old can stay in the parents' room free of charge, providing an extra bed is not required. One child aged between 3 and 12 can stay in the parents' room at €18 per night.

We liked the location of the hotel, on a cozy square, and this time with snow and a mini ice skating ring in front of the hotel. We liked Harderwijk. The service of the staff was very helpful and kind.

We only slept one night in the hotel as stop-over, so we did not have the time to experience the hotel that well.
It can be a bit noisy in the weekend due to the location of the hotel, several bars and Grand Cafe's are located around the hotel.

Great location right on the town square with lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep, but room was quiet and restful. Convenient for exploring the streets and lanes of this small town. Light and airy room.
