Hotel Zeezicht Harlingen is located at the harbour, in the remarkable and monumental building 'Het Zeekasteel.' The covered terrace to the rear side of the hotel offers a spectacular view of the incoming and departing boats on the 'Waddenzee'. The ferry to the 'Waddeneilanden' leaves several times every day and has its landing stage across from the hotel. Harlingen's facilities for boats and yachts are excellent, which is why many recreational sailors moor at the old harbour. It is also possible to rent boats here. For lovers of the beach and water sports, the nearby beach on the 'Westerzeedijk' is not to be missed.
The hotel rooms are all equipped with a shower, toilet, telephone, television, and a minibar. In the hotel there is also a good restaurant and a comfortable lounge. Hotel Zeezicht Harlingen is a good accommodation for parties and business meetings as well. From Monday to Friday a continental breakfast buffet is set up between 07:00 and 09:30 h. and during the weekend from 07:30 to 09:30 h. Those who wish to learn even more about Harlingen's rich maritime past can pay a visit to the 'Hannemahuis' museum. Harlingen is also the setting of several legends, such as the famous legend about the little boy 'Hans Brinkers', who supposedly prevented a flood by sticking his finger in a punctured sea wall.
