Description
The Harsta Hoeve provides ample possibilities for experiencing rest and space. The rooms are located on the ground floor of the farm. They have a comfortable bed and some rooms feature a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Other rooms have a washbasin in the room and share a shower and toilet in the corridor. From the room you have a magnificent of the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Guest can use the common room with television, DVD player, computer and various games.
The farm has beautiful surroundings and is an oasis of tranquillity. It has a beautiful orchard dating from 1860, where you can enjoy different fruits throughout the year. Artificial dwelling hills or mounds provided safe ground during high tide and floods before dikes were built. Hegebeintum is the highest mound in the Netherlands and is 8.8 meters above sea level. On top of the Hegebeintum mound is a Romanesque church from the 13th century which can be visited, and the Hogebeintumer mill which dates from 1860. At the bottom of the mound is a visitors centre for those who wish to learn more about the rich history of the village.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 09:00 h.
The restaurant is open from 18:30 h. You need to reserve a table before 16:00 h. The bar is open from 07:00 till midnight.

In the hotel guests can make free use of wireless Internet. In the lobby is a public computer available for guests.
Other information
- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check in until 19:00 h.
- An additional bed can be placed in a twin room room on request for €24.50 a night. An additional bed in a disabled room costs €38.50 a night.

Surroundings
De Harsta Hoeve is located near the village of Hegebeintum in the north of the province of Friesland. If you want to relax, the farm is an ideal base. The beautiful surroundings are ideal for walking and cycling. The towns of Ferwert, Holwerd (boat to Ameland) and Dokkum are easily accessible and definitely worth a visit. Fans of the 11-city skating marathon Elfstedentocht in Friesland should visit the famous bridge in Bartlehiem, which is easily accessible from the farm.
