Functional room, friendly helpful staff, for a good price.
+
It's very low in price for the area and for that you get a functional room that's clean. You can get a bus to Tilburg (143) from nearby that takes 20mins. The staff were brilliant: friendly and always helpful.
–
The bus in question stops running at around 11pm. So if you're looking to be out later in Tilburg, but not all night, then you'll have a problem.
The walls a pretty thin which is fine if you have neighbours who are quiet (as they were with me). But I can imagine that if you get stuck with those who aren't, then you might have trouble sleeping.
*my tipThere is only one bathroom and toilet (two rooms) shared by all as far as I could see. So if you want to be sure to not have to wait, wash at a slightly unorthodox time.
Do notice that the breakfast isn't included. I bought breakfast materials from a supermarket in Tilburg instead. I guess this in part explains how they manage to keep the room rate down.

Good quality for the price!
+
The hotel had everything I needed: Bed, towels, soap, shampoo and Internet access. This hotel was the cheapest I could find so I was very pleased with how neat, tidy and clean everything looked. The staff was very friendly (like most Dutch people). Very good! I also ate breakfast and it was nothing extravagant, but very standard for that area of Europe: Bread, cheese, ham, salami, coffee, milk, juice, yogurt. Some other Dutch brands of toast were also offered.
–
The location. Because I came in late for check-in (after going to an Owl City concert), there were no more buses from Tilburg and I had to pay 26 Euros for a taxi! That was crazy expensive. But at that point, I just wanted to sleep and I was VERY thankful for having a place to stay, so I didn't really care.

Hilvarenbeek a great Netherlands retreat
+
Hilvarenbeek is a beautiful small town with historic buildings, beautiful restaurants and friendly people.
In the summer you are a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk from Beekse Bergen. This is an incredible safari, amusement park and waterpark.
With great fishing oppurtunities. A must visit for all families.
Tilburg is close and provides more eating oppurtunities as well as the odd excellent coffee shop.
Forget Amsterdam, come to Hilvarenbeek and Tilburg and relax!!!!

Be prepared to meet Dutch who dont understand english, yes there are a few but not many.

Everything is okey with the hotel but the transportation to Hilvarenbeek is poor. Busses go there once in an hour and in week end it becomes 2 hours. Also all the shops in Hilvarenbeek are closed on sundays and hotel has no restaurant. So it's not a very good idea to stay there on sundays. But every thing is okey with the hotel and service
