Description
The area on which Recreatiepark Wiringherlant is situated, has a long history. More than 35 years ago, there were recreation houses, as they were called. The current owner has managed to preserve the atmosphere of the former recreation village. There are 15 cozy cottages that really suit the coastal area. The Wieringhuys is one of the villas of this small fishermans village.
There are 4 excellent hotel rooms. The facilities are all in order, the luxury and trendy decorated rooms have all modern comforts. Each room has twin beds and a shower, television and DVD player, toilet, and coffee and tea making facilities. The slightly more expensive rooms are situated on the ground floor and here you can sit outside to enjoy the lovely private terrace. Chalets are available as well. Guests of Recreatiepark Wiringherlant may use all facilities of the park. There is a reception, restaurant, snack corner, laundry, children's farm, playground, table tennis, recreation team in the season, a sports field and recreation area.
If you want to relax than visit the wellness center 'Badhuys' which is located at the recreation park. Here you can enjoy the infrared sauna, jacuzzi, solarium and a sauna with chromotherapy. The wellness centre is opened from wednesday til sunday.
Food and Drinks
You can choose to have breakfast from the buffet in the reception area, or have it brought to your room. The heart of the park is Het Lagerhuys, with a cozy bar, an excellent restaurant and a snackbar. On the terrace behind the Lagerhuys you can enjoy a wine of the park's own vineyard, while overlooking the small fishing village below the dike. At the front of Het Lagerhuys there is a large terrace overlooking the playground.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. In case you would like to check in after 18:00 h., you need to contact the reception in advance.
- There is a surcharge of 1% for credit card payments.

Surroundings
There are excellent walking and cycling trails in the beautiful area surrounding Recreatiepark Wiringherlant. On the former island, traces of the time that is was still an island can still be seen. The park organizes mudflat walking excursions for groups of 10 persons or more, maybe guests of the Wieringshuys can sign up for them as well. It is immensely interesting to walk over the temporarily dry seabed, there are many bird species and also in the seabed one can find alien life forms, such as the lug. The woods Robbenoordbos, a forest planted in 1945 with many tree species, supply even more natural fun.
