Description
Hotel De Swarte Ruijter is located on the edge of the 'Holterberg', a scenic area with heath and woods. The area is part of the nature reserve 'De Sallandse Heuvelrug'. From the hotel you can access the woods via a hiking trail along the hotel's herb garden. At the reception you can rent a bicycle and order a picnic basket. Guests can store their own bikes in the lockable bicycle shed.
In the hotel there is a restaurant and a grand café. It is established in a thatched building. The contemporary interior design combines surprisingly well with the historic exterior. The ten suites are situated on the ground floor in the adjacent cottages. In the tastefully decorated suites you will find luxurious amenities, such as a bath and a shower, toilet, hair dryer, television, telephone and a comfortable seating and dining area. Furthermore every suite has French windows that open onto the private terrace.
Food and Drinks
In the hotel a continental breakfast buffet is set up every day from 08:00 to 10:00 h. On sunny days guests can also enjoy breakfast on the outside terrace.
Between 11:00 and 23:00 h. you can take a seat in the Grand Café, which has a bar and a reading table. It offers coffee, pastry, snacks and nice drinks.
The renowned restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner. French gastronomy and regional products are a source of inspiration for the dishes that are on the menu. The menu changes regularly to offer the best of the season.
