Don't rely on Shuttle

• – The room served its purpose but nothing more. WiFi in room non existent. Shuttle to Airport was supposed to leave at 6:15. Reception eventually phoned for Shuttle and it arrived at 6:35. Then proceeded to take me to the other hotel and told me I had to now wait for the other shuttle as there were only 2 drivers. The reason for using the Hotel was to simplify my trip to the airport in the morning

• + The beds were comfortable and the meal,was fine. Sorry my Dutch is not good enough to answer all the questions.
• – The shuttle said 'yes' when my husband asked for Bastion Hoofddorp, but took us to Amsterdam airport hotel where we had to,wait another 30 minutes before a shuttle took us to our hotel. No hair dryers available and in the morning there was no hot water for showers so we had to fly back to America with no shower.

Not bad.

• + If you look for a place next to Amsterdam and the big citys around the location of Bastion is very good,you have parking for your car and transfer to the airport which is very very close.
• – I arived late in the night and the receptionist was really minimum agressive(girl). She was lucky i stayed calm. Next to my bed at the table under the light was very very dirty.

Good for one night close to airport

• + Free shuttle to airport. Parking facilities.
• – bathroom facilities and supplies

• + Price is competitive. Staff is very courteous. Wifi is free.
• – Location is somewhat of a long drive from the airport compared to other hotels. Bathroom is very basic, lacks even a soap.

Good clean budget hotel but service & billing is an issue

• + Clean rooms, good budget hotel
• – poor service - i had to wait more than an hour after placing the order to finally get my dinner. that when there were hardly any people in the canteen billing - the first set of bill i got was totally incorrect. it had included breakfast charge for 2 people throughout the duration of my stay. however i had breakfast only once.. that too alone. after speaking to the manager, they corrected it.

Good value hotel close to Schipol Amsterdam airport

• + Very good shuttle service to and from the Schipol Amsterdam Airport
• * my tip Rooms facing away from the fire station are generally quieter in the event of a emergency alarm

• + Free, regular shuttle to and from Schiphol Airport Clean Helpful, courteous staff

Little far from city center but good economic option....

Your basic airport hotel.

• + Free internet.
• – The hotel was basically fine, clean, very reasonably priced, but had some small things against it. No elevator, so be prepared to lug suitcases. The shower in the morning spontaneously turned cold a couple of times. The shuttle was supposed to run at 15 minutes before and after the hour, but arriving at the front desk 14 minutes after, I found the shuttle had already left. The next one also left early.

Nice confort/price ratio hotel

• + Good rates, nice bed and free-shuttle every half an hour! Overall good impression and recommendable.
• – There is not bath tube door and the curtain was falling. Every shower you will damp teh bathroom. They should intall a door.

I found the staff to be very helpfull & friendly, nice quiet hotel

• + Very Friendly efficient staff, I was greated with a lovely smile from the receptionist who take care of my reservation very quickly, Breakfast & Dinner were very nice and good value. My room was very clean.
• – I would have liked a double bed (but in fairness I did not ask for one when I booked).

• + Yes it,s excellent hotel. I always stays there whenever I travel to NL.it is very convenient hotel free shuttle is available from air port to hotel also located in very silent area.so we can feel comfort after doing lot of travel.

Good alternative if you are between flights.

• – The shuttle service scheduled for the morning didn't turn up, so everyone had to wait for another 30 minutes for the next one.

• + My stay at the Bastion Hotel was very comfortable,exhalent and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was good. Dinner very enjoyable. The rooms are clean, well prepared. All you need for a brirf stay.

The Bastion Hotel, good location and great staff.

• + The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have workded for the past 16 years at a historic hotel in California and would recommend anyone of them as an excellent employee. Great shuttle service too.
• – I'm not a fan of instant coffee. I would prefer a coffee maker in the room.

A reasonably priced hotel convenient for Schiphol airport

• + Friendly and helpful reception. Nice restaurant room to have a quiet drink.
• – Our bed mattresses were too soft for our liking.

Bastion Hotel

• + The staff were really helpful when I had some troubles with my reservation. Everyone I talked to were really nice and made me feel like at home.
• – My shower did not work that well. I had to spend about 5 minutes adjusting the heat of the water, and when I got it right, the shower water pressure was too low.

A nice hotel to layover at between flights

• + Shuttle to Amsterdam Airport, good food and pleasant staff. Free Internet also a plus
