Hotel de Beurs Hoofddorp

Outstanding Hotel, Friendly Staff, Room far exceeded our expectations,

• + This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was easy enough to catch a taxi from the airport. Breakfast was offered at 12 Euro pp and the room was exceptional 4+

• * my tip Without speaking the local language it was a bit tricky getting train tickets to the city, although the locals were very helpful. Perhaps instructions in Dutch on how to purchase a ticket.

Lovely hotel, nice staff, shame theres no shuttle bus.

• + Lovely hotel, nice and clean and friendly staff
• – Bed was not very comfortable and location was far from interesting things, far from Amsterdam too.
• * my tip A shuttle bus to Amsterdam and to the airport would have greatly improved my stay.

Nice and quiet

• + Friendly and helpful crew.
• – Further away from airport than I tought.
• * my tip If you are going to Hoofdorp, this hotel is a fine choice. But it's too far away from Amsterdam, and even the airport. You need to go by train, and the ticket-machine at the trainstation is not tourist-friendly at all. The alternative is bus, and it takes really long.

Big disappointment for our last night in Holland!

• + Convenient to airport
• – Dinner at restaurant totally disappointing. Swordfish dry and tough, service poor, salt and pepper shakers dirty, wine pour was less than we have encountered anywhere!
• * my tip Try Ibis better value better service food can't be worse.

Well appointed hotel, very convenient location, unfriendly reception

• – I found reception to be cold, unfriendly and condescending

• – Had to walk across the bathroom from the shower to get soap and shampoo from the wall-mounted dispenser. Very strange arrangement!

Reasonable good but not perfect.

• – Only one chair to sit in , so one has to drink a cup of coffee or tea while sitting on the bed. NOt comfortable. No good ligth to read in bed. We were woken up at 9 am. by the vacum cleaner going on loudly right beside our door. Too early for people wanting to sleep in a bit. Could have waited till at elast 10 am. We were given the impression on the website that there would be shuttle ervice to the airport available.But that was not so , we found out too late. That is misleading ad

• + a very quiet place. near Amsterdam. We took a car. It is about 15 minutes till nearest P+К parking.

In verhouding tot de prijs was ik teleurgesteld.

• – Ik was teleurgesteld, dat er niet eens shampoo, body lotion en douchgel op de kamer was. Ook was de instructie van de medewerker, hoe ik naar de bus halte kom niet zo goed, de halte had ik niet gevonden en de bus niet gekregen, per geluk heb ik dan nog een andere halte gevonden, na additionele 10 minutjes lopen.

Wasn't impressed!

• + Lovely bathroom
• – The hotel looked lovely on the internet, from the outside and in the lobby of the hotel, but the room we were in seemed substandard in comparison to the rest of the hotel. there was a stain on the bedsheet and the furniture was old and chipped. We also didnt like the area the hotel is based in, we stayed for about half an hour and got the train back into the city. The area is very basic and doesnt show a true reflection of the city. Definately not somewhere to go if you want a romantic, relaxing last night!

Budget hotel for business class.

• + Good for shoopping as there is nice shopping mall in front of hotel

• – Room smells! (Old cigarette smoke I suspect, but not nice.

Very nice hotel, with great staff.

• + Friendly staff, good service, clean and comfortable, easy access to airport.

Pleasant spot

• + Quiet and pleasant area. Very big apartment. Staff was friendly.
• – No transport from/to airport (except taxis). Breakfast was a bit disappointing, better to buy bread and cheese at the supermarket nearby.

good short stay

Choose only if you are looking for a weekend getaway

• + Spacious room and toilet. Situated in a quiet area. Near a small town
• – Far away from the train station (have to take another bus which comes every half hour), no free internet. Normal breakfast buffet. For the price I paid, I could have gotten a room with breakfast included

Great hotel close to airport, but far from Central Amsterdam

• + Very close to the Airport. Comfortable rooms and affordable rates.
• – Far ride from Central Amsterdam. Had to take a taxi to the train station and then a 20 minute train ride from there.

• + Decent room, clean, and reasonable price
• – Bit hard to get to on public transport. The zuidtangent bus does not stop that near. Suggest train to Hoofddorp station then 140 towards Haarlem, getting off at Market

Too expensive for what you get

• + Restaurant and bar on site, but it was a bit expensive. Close to buses and train.
• – Very expensive, not much to do in the area. The gym didn't open till 9:30 on Sunday, so I couldn't wait to use it. The rooms were OK, but not for the price. Breakfast should be included for the amount of the rooms.

Okay for a quick overnight or week-end stopover

Does not justify a 4* rating

• + Convenient for airport and city centre. Nearby a shopping centre. Restaurant was reasonable.
• – Lack of basic facilities. Had to buy extra pillows in nearby shopping centre. No tea/coffee making facilities. Service was mediocre. Rooms looking a bit tatty.

Too pricey for what you get.

• + Comforable beds, helpful staff.
• – Bathroom smelled terrible! Hardly any lights in the bedroom, very noisy, stains on carpets in hallways, out of date decor. Fitness room is not attached to the hotel.

no shuttleservice - not recommended

• – no shuttle service as indicated - taxi to Schipol takes long time and costs 27€ each way - so better take a hotel for 150 and closer to airport - no 24h reception - you have to make special arrangements - extra charge for double room, even if not used
