Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Schiphol

Fantastic staff!

• + Stayed there seven days. The staff was absolutely excellent. They could not have been more helpful with my group of up to 16 with different reservations, different daily requirements, etc. Never once were we treated other than with the greatest respect. They also recommended a great restaurant only minutes from the hotel.
• – The only minus would be the 7.50 E charge each day to return to the airport. The shuttle is going back to the airport anyway - why should there be a charge? That is a HUGE negative if you are with a group! There is a 10 Euro per night charge to park your car, certainly cheaper than taking the shuttle into the airport if you are with a group.

• + Very nice. A bit of a taxi ride from the Airport and back. Staff were excellent. No eating facilities at the hotel but the walk into the village was worth it both for the pleasure and the restaurants we found.
• * my tip The first restaurant on the walking path was one of the best we visited on all of Holland.

Good choice for staying near schipole

• + New and well prepared for check in
• – Can just provide two hotel rate: one with shuttle bus ticket and one with out shuttle bus for easier planning

perfect for brief stay after a late arrival/before an early departure

• + this is an unusually good hotel for an "airport" hotel. the hotel had everything one would look for in a short stay before departing on an early flight: a clean though compact room, good internet connection, a hot shower, courteous staff and a convenient pick-up and drop-off service from schiphol.
• – i don't know why they charge for the ride from the hotel to the airport.

Mooi en verzorgd hotel met goede service

• + Lekker bed om op te liggen. Goede service om op het vliegveld te komen. Zover ik kon zien een grote variatie in het ontbijt alleen hadden wij helaas geen tijd om daar van te genieten.
• * my tip Een betere locatie in of bij het hotel om te kunnen roken dan alleen bij de ingang, bijvoorbeeld een balkon of rook ruimte Hier en daar wat kleine beschadigingen repareren

• – long wait at the airport, over half hour. Bus did not follow printed schedule.
• * my tip Train station is in walking distance

Clean, neat, and comfortable

• + Clean and neat place, free wireless internet, good breakfast.
• – Return shuttle service costs E 7.50/- whereas most of the other Hotels near the airport provide free shuttle service -both ways. No safe in the room !

Excellent value for money with really comfortable bed.

out of town but comfortable, excellent hotel

• + Very comfortable beds and quiet room. Rooms to sit and work in. Excellent breakfast.
• – Not a free shuttle to the airport. 10-15 minutes walk to the station - ie 15 minutes if you need to buy a ticket. Piped music everywhere on ground floor - needed earplugs in order to work.
• * my tip Don't confuse 'Hoopdorf' with 'Hoopdoorfpleine'!

Helpful, Friendly, Very Clean and Fantastic Showers

• + Slightly more expensive than some hotels but very good value for Money. Hotel reception gave me extra coffee at no extra charge. Breakfast looked delicious but too early to eat. Shuttle bus was perfect

• * my tip If you are willing to walk a bit, you can get to a very nice neighborhood with places to eat. Get the map from the desk.

Good value well maintained hotel

• + Very clean, tidy hotel in a quiet location. Very good breakfast. Good value for the price we paid
• – None really. Bed was too soft but some people prefer soft beds!

• + Very close to Schiphol Airport. Large, clean room with very nice bathroom. Watch out for special deals --well worth it. Friendly front desk staff.
• – Soft matrass.
• * my tip Don't expect to have dinner anywhere close by. The only place is the Crown Plaza across the road -- very expensive!

GOOD BUY FOR GOOD HOTEL

• + I love your hotel. Convenient ... quiet easy assess by train 10 minits walk fm Havadorf ... the bus sent you to the hotel door.
• – The map you gave us to the train is not correct. The taxi charge us EU$25 instate EU$20 as agreed - I would suggest that the payment is being done to the reception to avoid any missunderstanding - The Taxi man is an old grumppy man. We asked him to wait for 5 mins to gather our group he shrug his shoulder as if we are a pest. Why do we need to pay for the bus fare EU$7.50 per head when going to the airport - Isnt that part of the service ? Not recommended for heavy baggage carrier unless you ta

This hotel was perfect for comfortable, easy access to Schiphol

• + Convenient shuttle from airport, good service, very comfortable bed and pillows. Food facilities were very good.

Nice hotel, mediocre service, bad bed.

• – My membership number was only introduced after three requests, the last one not very friendly. The mat race of the bed is far too soft and bends to the middle. Sleeping there with my wife was not by comfortable.

Great value near Schiphol.

• + Very clean, albeit characterless hotel convenient to Schiphol and very good for an overnight stay. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Handy, well run shuttle back and forth to the airport.
• – While there are vending machines offering very good quality mini-meals/snacks, this hotel does not have its own restaurant, requiring a short walk to either another hotel or to the nearest town (10 minutes).
