Hotel Faber has a rich history that dates back many centuries. The hotel used to function as an inn. In 1901 it became a family business and the hotel has been in the hands of the same family for four generations now. It is a comfortable and cosy hotel, suitable for both business and leisure guests. The hotel is centrally located for a visit to Groningen and Drenthe, where many hiking and bicycle routes enable you to explore the beautiful nature. Close to Hoogezand lies the Zuidlaardermeer lake, where you can enjoy water sports such as canoeing, surfing, fishing and swimming.
The hotel offers 18 comfortable rooms. All rooms are equipped with a shower, toilet, telephone, flat screen television and a radio. There are also rooms available with a bath. All rooms also have wireless internet.
Food and Drinks
The hotel serves an excellent breakfast buffet from 06:45 until 09:30 h.
The restaurant is open from 12:00 until 20:30 h. Here you can order a pleasant lunch or dinner. The menu offers both traditional Dutch dishes and French cuisine. There is a wide variety of seasonal specialities as well. At the bar you can take a drink and a bite from 08:00 until 23:00 h.

Hotel Faber is an excellent starting point for an active day. Hoogezand has plenty to offer for those that like hiking, biking, aquatic sports, museums and galleries. Sail or canoe along the Zuidlaardermeer lake or bike along the water mills and bird observation huts. The vibrant student city of Groningen lies at 18 kilometres from Hoogezand. Here you can climb the Martini tower at the Grote Markt square or go shopping in the Herestraat.
