The hotel is just 150 metres away from the beach and lies between a marina and the nature area 'Nationaal Park Zuid-Kennemerland'. At a mere 10-minute drive from the hotel one can take a ferry boat, the 'Fast Flying Ferry'. The ferry boat will take passengers to Amsterdam Central Station in about half an hour and it is a fun way to reach the city. Surroundings
The adjacent national park 'Zuid-Kennemerland' offers 3.800 hectares of dunes, beach and country estates. The location of Holiday Inn IJmuiden Seaport Beach is also perfectly suited for trips to Amsterdam, Haarlem and Beverwijk. A visit to the large indoor market 'De Bazaar' in Beverwijk is recommended. The assortment of the market stalls varies from crystal to antiques, books and exotic fruit.

This is not a 4 star hotel, the facilities were basic, the interior decor plain mass produced gunck. The service was very poor again more typical of a 3 star hotel. We checked out the next day and moved to another hotel in Amsterdam. This hotel totally miss represents itself.
