Coster Diamonds in Amsterdam
Coster Diamonds provides an insight in the processing of diamonds. The staff will show you the cutting and polishing of the diamonds, and how they rate the quality of these gems. Four characteristics are used to describe the quality: carat, clarity, cut and color.
The company was founded in 1840 and was located at the Waterlooplein (Waterloosquare) for a long time. In 1970 Coster moved to the present location at the Paulus Potterstraat, in the fancy area of the Museumdistrict.
Coster Diamonds owns a unique collection of large diamonds weighing over 1.00 carat.
The diamond factory offers free guided tours in 25 languages. When the tour finishes you can admire the sparkling products in the showroom. You also have the opportunity to design or enhance your own jewellery.
