Coster Diamonds in Amsterdam
Coster Diamonds provides an insight into the processing of diamonds. The staff will show you the cutting and polishing of the diamonds, and how they rate the quality of these gems. Four characteristics are used to describe the quality: carat, clarity, cut and color.
The company was founded in 1840 and for a long time was located on Waterlooplein (Waterloosquare). In 1970 Coster moved to its present location at the Paulus Potterstraat, in the fancy area of the Museum district. Coster Diamonds owns a unique collection of large diamonds weighing over 1.00 carat.
The diamond factory offers free guided tours in 25 languages. When the tour finishes you can admire the sparkling products in the showroom. You also have the opportunity to design or enhance your own jewellery.
