United Europe in Amsterdam
Right in the middle of the Roemer Visscherstraat you will find a special row of houses. They reflect seven European building styles of the 19th century: Dutch, English, French, Russian, Spanish, German and Italian.
This row of houses starts at number 20, which represents the German building style.
Number 22 has a French touch. The next villa is Spanish, with some Moorish influences. Number 26 is built in Italian palazzostyle.
The next house has some elements that you would normally find in a cathedral, which makes this the Russian house, at number 28. One door down, at number 30, you will find a Dutch villa in Renaissance Style. The row of houses ends at the United Kingdom, with a house that reflects English cottage style.
The Roemer Visscherstraat is close to the Vondelpark and also near the hustle and bustle of the <Leidseplein.
