Museum De Burcht Amsterdam
De Burcht is the historical setting for a centre concerning labour. It is situated in the Burcht van Berlage, an unusual building where the history of trade unions comes to life. It is a monumental building, which is definitely worth a visit. No one has more repeatedly dubbed this building his "most succesful work" than the designer himself, the famous architect H.P. Berlage. Apart from the permanent and temporary exhibitions, De Burcht is also developing itself as a knowledge centre for labour issues by organising debates, study and research.
