EYE Film Instituut Nederland unites the Film Museum, the Filmbank, Holland Film and the Dutch Institute for Film Education.
EYE manages an extensive, world renowned, film collection. EYE has invaluable knowledge and expertise with regards to restoration, research, education, international promotion and marketing. EYE promotes film culture, debate, reflection and innovation through an adventurous film programme.
At the end of 2011, EYE will move to a new building on the northern bank of the IJ river in Amsterdam. The new building, a spectacular design by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects from Vienna, will offer four modern film rooms. As well as exhibitions and educational activities, the building will also feature work spaces, a shop and a café-restaurant, complete with a waterfront terrace.
