Hermitage in Amsterdam
The Hermitage Amsterdam is a great opportunity to see Russian treasures, without having to travel to Russia. This official annex of the famous museum in St. Petersburg is established in a former retirement home for the elderly, The Amstelhof. Three architects have transformed this building and the garden into a modern museum of over 4000 m2. The transformation was completed and in June 2009 the Hermitage Amsterdam opened its doors.
