Huis Marseille Amsterdam
Huis Marseille (Foundation for Photography) is located in a 17th century canal house. The monumental canal house with bottle-neck gable was built in 1665 for a French merchant who had made a fortune by loading a ship in the harbour of Marseilles and setting sail to Amsterdam. Every three months the Huis Marseille organises a new exhibition for contemporary and historical works. All imaginary forms of photography are on display but the emphasis is on the visual quality.
