Nemo in Amsterdam
Queen Beatrix opened this spectacular building in 1997. It lies right on top of the IJ-tunnel. Nemo is the biggest science centre in the Netherlands. 'Nemo' meaning 'nobody' in Latin, refers to the world that lies between reality and fantasy. Visiting the museum, will almost certainly make you feel like a technician or a scientist.
Nemo offers you five storeys, packed with interactive exhibitions and is fun for all ages. You will learn the answer to questions such as: How does thunder and lightning work? Stand in a laboratory and experience how chemical processes work, maybe even do some tests yourself!
