Nemo in Amsterdam
Queen Beatrix opened this spectacular building in 1997, which lies on top of the river IJ-tunnel. Nemo is the biggest science center in the Netherlands. 'Nemo' means 'nobody', which refers to the world that lies between reality and fantasy. As a visitor of this museum you will almost become a technician or scientist.
Nemo offers you five storeys, packed with interactive exhibitions which are fun for all ages. You will for example learn the answer to the question: How do thunder and lightning work? Inside the laboratory you can experience how chemical processes work and even do some tests yourself!
