Muziektheater in Amsterdam
The Muziektheater is the homebase for the Nederlandse Opera (The Netherlands Opera), the Nationale Ballet (National Dutch Ballet) and Holland Symfonia. This theatre is located inside the building of the Stopera.
About sixty singers make up the choir of the Nederlandse Opera. Their unconventional repertoire is usually accompanied by the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Nationale Ballet consists of about 80 dancers, from over 25 countries. Their repertoire includes traditional ballets, such as the 'Swan lake', but also modern pieces from the twentieth century.
They are accompanied by Holland Symfonia. This orchestra is also a resident of the Muziektheater.
