Tropentheater in Amsterdam
The Tropentheater is part of the Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen (Royal Tropical Institute), together with the Tropenmuseum. Both divisions work for the promotion and preservation of cultures and sustainable development.
In the Tropentheater you can enjoy performances ranging from (youth) theatre and dance to movies and concerts. Most performances originate in non-western countries, but some are also from countries on the outskirts of Europe. This way you can encounter different cultures at the Tropentheater without having to travel very far!
