Antwerp
Antwerp has been a favourite destination for a weekend trip for many years. This is not surprising because it has much to offer visitors. Antwerp is one of the oldest cities in Belgium and it has a rich history. For centuries diamonds have been traded in Antwerp and a visit to the diamond district and the Diamond Museum is highly recommended. The historic centre is around the Cathedral of Our Lady and the Grand Place with the famous guild houses and town hall. Those who visit Antwerp because of its art, should visit the Rubens House or the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.
