Province of Antwerp
The Flemish province of Antwerp includes beautiful cities and scenic areas and diamond city Antwerp is its capital. You can enjoy a lovely day of shopping and for art lovers there is plenty to see in the museums. Architecturally, the city is also worth a visit, the rich past of the city is reflected in the many beautiful buildings. Mechelen also offers many original shops, restaurants and bars. It has a pleasant centre and – just like many towns in Flanders - a beguinage.
The province of Antwerp is fun to visit for the whole family. You can choose from a visit to the Antwerp Zoo, Zoo Planckendael, the Toy Museum or theme park Technopolis. The border park De Zoom - Kalmthoutse Heide is a nature reserve with heaths, meres, drift sand plains and forests where you can walk and cycle to your heart's content. Antwerp is easily accessible by car and train and has its own international airport.
