Minnewaterpark
The peaceful Minnewaterpark lies south of the centre of Brugge. The park surrounds the beautiful Minnewater pond where - on the orders of Maximilian I of Austria - swans swim ever since the 15th century. In the park, a neo-Gothic castle was built, the Fraeyhuis, of which the gatehouse has been preserved. The park is a popular place for walking and picnicking and there are several annual festivals.
