Eindhoven
Welcome to the always lively Eindhoven, the fifth city of the Netherlands.Lampegat (lamp hole) as the city is also lovingly called, is known for its modern architecture. In the centre this is already proved by the three major residential towers: de Vesteda Toren, De Admirant and De Regent. But aside from these architectural marvels, this city is also blessed with a number of beautiful parks. The Stadswandelpark and Genneper Parks are always nearby. Just outside the city limits are some beautiful scenic areas, such as Strabrechtse Heide and Leenderbos. The Stabrechtse Heide alone offers 1500 hectare of beautiful nature already.
Eindhoven enjoys fame because of the headquarters of the Dutch company Philips and the first ever light bulb factory with an attached museum. Another impressive museum is the Van Abbenuseum for modern art. In nightlife, Eindhoven really has ample choice. The most well-known row of pubs is the Stratumseind, but also other streets in Eindhoven offer nocturnal entertainment. Culture lovers can visit the Parktheater and Muziekcentrum Frits Philips.
