Noordwijk
Noordwijk is a popular resort. It offers the customary restaurants, a nice boulevard and shops. The beach is lovely and wide and the sun always seems to be shining more brightly in Noordwijk. The town is divided into two areas, separated by a green strip. Noordwijk aan Zee has all the well known ingredients required for a seaside resort. The old centre of Noordwijk town is more peaceful and is even registered as a protected village.
You will never get bored in Noordwijk. You can enjoy the sun, sea and beach or cycle through the dunes and the nearby flower fields.
And you can still get a breath of fresh air during the autumn and winter months, when the beach is must quieter. Should the weather be really miserable, then take a trip to Leiden, which is only a 15 minute drive away. Even The Hague and Amsterdam are great to visit for a day trip.
