Nieuwe Luxor Theater Rotterdam
The Nieuwe Luxor Theater in Rotterdam opened its doors in April 2001. The theatre was officially opened on 28 April in the presence of Queen Beatrix with a show by the cabaret performers Mini and Maxi. The theatre is primarily designed for large-scale entertainment, such as musicals, opera, concerts and cabaret. But the building is also available for business presentations, conferences and meetings.
The complex has an auditorium with 1500 seats, two lounges, a theatre, a restaurant and a terrace with a view out onto the Rijnhaven. The building has a distinctive look both inside and outside. Modern, yet cozy and full of atmosphere.
The location at the Kop van Zuid in Rotterdam is unique: the complex is situated at the port and at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge, on the river Maas. The theatre is therefore very easy to access by car and public transport. And since Luxor also has a private dock, you can even arrive by boat....
