Madurodam is open all year round. Canals, atmospheric facades and other characteristic Dutch sights create a feast for the eyes. Madurodam is in complete motion. Windmills turning, boats sailing through the canals, a blazing fire being extinguished in the harbour and trains criss-crossing the entire city on the world's largest miniature railway.
Madurodam is a miniature representation of the Netherlands. Everything is replicated in minute detail on a 1:25 scale.
Madurodam is closed for refurbishment and will open in April 2012.
