Valkenburg
Valkenburg is a real tourist town.There is always something to do in every season and for every tourist. The centre of Valkenburg and its surroundings are dotted with hotels, large and small. The centre is certainly compact, but it offers many shops, nice restaurants and cosy pubs. The ruins of Valkenburg Castle are located just outside the centre. The oldest remains date from 1115. Nearby you will find many opportunities to visit the caves, accompanied by an experienced guide.
The Holland Casino is the perfect place for people who like to gamble a little. It is an eye catcher on the hill, as is the Thermae 2000. The hilly landscape around Valkenburg serves as a wonderful backdrop for walkers and cyclists alike. As for the kids: the Wilhelmina tower has a cable car to get to the top and an exciting toboggan run to get back down again. The Enchanted Woods is also always a favourite.
