Apenheul Apeldoorn
The Apenheul is unique. It is located in the heart of the beautiful park Berg en Bos near Apeldoorn. There are 30 different species of monkeys. Some of them wander freely around the park .
You can see the monkeys in different types of habitats. On the African island of Madagaskar you can see half-apes, or discover the squirrel monkey in the Amazonewoud. You can also enjoy the crazy stunts of the funny South-American pygmy marmosets. Monkeys always discover new things, which can lead to surprising meetings. During feeding time you can ask the zookeepers your questions about monkeys.
For children there is a wide range of facilities. They can act like a monkey in the children's playing jungles on the rope bridges, climbing towers and shaky bridges. For a bite and a drink you can visit the restaurant and enjoy a savoury and healthy menu.
The Apenheul is open from late March to late October.
