Zwolle
Zwolle is the beautiful and vibrant capital of the province of Overijssel and has much to offer: the popular Saturday market, the magnificent church Grote Kerk, the lively squares, cafés, bistros and fine restaurants, including the 3 Michelin star restaurant De Librije. The main, car-free shopping street Diezerstraat is surrounded by charming streets with quaint shops and boutiques.
Zwolle has a rich history as a mighty Hanseatic city. The beautiful city centre is loaded with historic façades, fortifications, town houses and beautiful canals. Two extraordinary Zwolle buildings are the 600-year-old Sassenpoort and the symbol of Zwolle, the Peperbus, the tower of the Basilica of Our Blessed Lady. This tower has a carillon with over 50 clocks. Near the city are the beautiful parks Het Engelse Werk and Park Eekhout where you can enjoy a lovely walk.
