Hotel Chariot Aalsmeer

Very enjoyable stay both times we stayed.

• + Very nice hotel with auto parking away from the high traffic areas. We enjoyed our first night in Europe after a long flight. After touring Europe for three weeks we stayed three more nights before our flight home. Restaurant is excellent.
• – It can be a little noisy from the air traffic, but we adjusted quickly.

• + CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT , very nice rooms
• – pity that at this price that dont give breakfast

A charming hotel, remote from the bustle

• + Staff were very friendly and helpful . The room was large bright and airy

Useful and comfortable.

• + On the plus points the bed was very comfortable, the location was very quiet and the staff were very helpful. We ate in the resturant for lunch and the food was good. Breakfast was plentiful and hot.
• – On the negative points I had alerted the hotel that I would be arriving in the early hours of the morning and had requested transport. The hotel did not communicate with me so we spent a good half an hour looking for the transport and when I did telephone the hotel I was given instructions which required going back through the airport to a different entrance/exit from the arrivals one. On arrival at the hotel the reception desk was shut and the driver of the transport supplied the room key.

• – terrible shuttle service. It also costs $ to use this poor transportation. The hotel is 60 euro from Amsterdam *by cab...and remote. So you rely on the stuttle unless you are driving your own vehicle. Would not stay again

A surprise chillout hotel close to Schiphol Airport

• + Enjoyed the location and the smaller size of the hotel compared with the larger hotels close to Schiphol Airport

Lovely room

• + Lovely hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was high quality. We chose this hotel as it was close to the Aalsmeer flower auction. We paid 17E for a ride to the flower auction, and then took the bus into Amsterdam.Shuttle is best way to get to flower auction. Did not eat here, but the restaurants looked to be very nice.
• – Had to wait about an hour for airport shuttle. The van also serves a park and fly lot.

A good hotel, but not quite as convenient as you might think.

• + We really enjoyed the food in the restaurant, it was well cooked and presented
• – We would have liked breakfast to be included in an optional price. Also when we booked it stated there was a shuttle service between the airport. However you do not make it clear how to obtain the shuttle.( I sent an email to you asking this a day or so before we arrived.) Also you charge for the shuttle which I think you should make far more obvious when booking. I only found out on reading Trip Advisor. In our experience hotels provide a free shuttle service.
• * Suggerimenti there is a bus service which will take you into Alsmeer and a connection for Amsterdam it would have been helpful if the hotel could have provided us with more detail on this and even a map of Aalsmeer which has some local attractions

• + Spaceous rooms. Nice bathroom. Lovely beds.
• – No family rooms available which means it becomes pricey for a family with two kids. We thought it was closer to the Flower auction place. The street the hotel is on is very long and from the website it is difficult to see where exactly the hotel is located. Walking to the Flora flower auction premises proved too far.
• * Suggerimenti Make sure you visit the Flora flower auction premises! When you come by bicycle (like we did) make sure you have got a lock with you because the cycle storage is accessible to outsiders.

• – 1. Although we had paid for breakfast with our booking, the receptionist initially insisted that this was not possible. Only after I showed her the confirmation did she accede. Great local hotel with facilities and very high standard of room.

• + Great location for flower markets and Aalsmeer in general. Lovely hotel with a local feel. Not surrounded just by other hotels.

• – I had the greatest trouble using the internet for mail. The internet works well, but an overzealous IT person has shut down all firewalls. I use mail services outside internet, and am used to making a VPN backdoor, but even this didn't work, which is a level of security no hotel ever needs. It's more for a military base. So, please loosen up on the locking of services.

Stay Here!

• + This is a lovely hotel! The staff is gracious, especially the bar manager who was fun, engaging and took pity on the fact that we had not had any dinner! They offer a fantastic breakfast (Not included in the price of your stay but worth it!) We arrived late and had booked the wrong room (twin beds instead of double) and they changed it right away, no problem. Shuttle is handy and on time. Very wonderful!
• – The hotel is 18 km from Amsterdam, tucked into a lovely little village, where there is no late night "scene", including dinner past 10:00, when we arrived. The shuttle is available 24-7 though, so you can take that in to the Airport and train or bus it to Amsterdam. The shuttle location at the airport to the hotel was a bit confusing. It would help if the location of the shuttle was given in the email confirmation. It is free once, then after that $16 euros.

Appealing looks and pretty location near Schiphol

• – only the first pickup by the shuttle was free. What the hell kind of free airport shuttle is this? I know they must have it written in the small print somewhere, but that's strange not include even the return trip. Breakfast was ok at best, yet not included. During my stay I heard a major argument with another customer who was upset about lack of airconditioning and wifi. The response of the hotel managers to everything seemed to be, "that's just the way it is, don't like it, go somewhere else"

Nice food shame about the heating!

• + Beautiful restaurant, had a lovely meal, bar staff very attentive.
• – Room was so cold we had to keep coats on for a while, was -3 outside. The air temp in our room was 16! Apparently they forgot to put heat on in our room. We asked to move room and was told hotel was full. We were then given a extra duvet and sheet, which we had to put on ourselves and the staff did not seem to care. Was so cold next morning, even the carpet was cold it felt uncomfortable to walk on. we had to put towels on the bathroom floor to take the chill out of the cold tiles! I have stayed in alot of hotels worldwide but have never encountered this type of room temp before.

Very nice place to stay

• + I was suprised by very spacy, elegant room and bathroom. I appreciated the breakfast too: good choice and quality. The service was nice. I took a profit of special price offer, what made the relation price/quality very interesting.
• – Quite high stairs (which is normal in Holland :). The walls between bedrooms are not noise-proof.

• + Preisleistung in Ordnung. Sehr nette und freundliche und hilfreiche Menschen, die dort arbeiten. Farblich dezent und gemütlich eingerichtete Zimmer. Auch das Essen im Restaurant war preislich in Ordnung und sehr lecker!

• + Hotel Chariot ligt op steenworp afstand van Schiphol. Ook leuk om samen met partner of gezin te wandelen in het Amsterdamse Bos.

Behulpzame, snelle service

• + Nadat receptie gesloten was, hadden wij toch nog de autosleutel nodig. Een vriendelijke en behulpzame medewerker heeft er snel voor gezorgd dat we de autosleutel in ons bezit hadden. Service!!!

Zeer tevreden met de kamer voor deze prijs

• – Extra bed (3persoonskamer) is heel erg klein, dun matras, als je langer bent dan 1.70 m is het eigenlijk geen doen. Kamer was erg warm. Receptie was bij aankomst onvriendelijk. De kamer was per ongeluk geannuleerd, werd genoemd dat wij geluk hadden want er was nog een kamer vrij, het was echter helemaal niet onze fout, dus hoezo geluk?! Kon geen lachje van af bij receptie, was allemaal maar lastig want zij moest een extra bed opmaken...

Gezellig Hotel

• + Gezellige ligging. Achter het hotel ligt een overdekt strand!! Dichtbij Schiphol.
• – Gehorig. Het personeel slaat met deuren beneden in het restaurant en is op de eerste verdieping te horen. Bij de receptie deden ze voorkomen hier nog nooit klachten over te hebben gehad. We kregen wel een andere kamer.
