Description
Hotel Troopeird was built in 1978 in the village of Bellegem, at 5 kilometre from the centre of Kortrijk and 15 kilometres from Tournai. Bellegem is a rural village with a spectacular church and two breweries. The surroundings are beautiful for walking and cycling trips. The hotel is easily accessible by car and both in front and behind the hotel is ample parking.
The building in which Hotel Troopeird is located, exudes a rustic, rural atmosphere.
The hotel has a lounge, a cosy restaurant and bar with fireplace. There is also a large garden with a terrace. Next to the hotel is the leisure centre Aqua Relax, located in a former inn, dating from the early 17th century. In the centre is a traditional Finnish sauna, whirlpool, Finnish Tepidarium, massage showers and Turkish Hammam.
In the interior of the hotel Flemish accents are used. There is also a collection of lace which is made by the lady of the house. The rooms are furnished with antiques but offer modern comforts. Each room has a private bathroom, cable television and a sitting area. Broadband wireless internet is available throughout the hotel and in the lounge you can use an internet kiosk.

Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 09:00 h. and on weekends from 08:00 to 10:00 h.. Breakfast is offered in the restaurant, the room or in the garden. It includes freshly squeezed juices, jams made with fruit from the garden, artisan bread and fresh fillings.
Dinner is served between 19:00 and 21:00 h. The menu offers local dishes, or you can choose a day menu or something of the à la carte menu.
Please Note: The restaurant is on not open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but the hotel has a nice list of addresses in the immediate vicinity.
Internet
Broadband wireless internet is available throughout the hotel and in the lounge you can use an Internet kiosk. If you book through Hotels.nl the first 24 hours are free.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check-in until 22:00 h. / In case you would like to check-in after 22:00 h., you need to contact the reception in advance.

Surroundings
From Hotel Troopeird you can reach Kortrijk in no time, it is one of the oldest cities in Belgium, situated on the Leie river. Already in the first century after Christ it became a Roman settlement called Cortoriacum, meaning 'settlement located on the bend of the river?. Attractions include the convent and belfry. The Grote Markt (grand place) is the central square of Kortrijk, the beautiful town hall is located here as well.
