Surroundings
From Bastion Hotel Leeuwarden it's not far to the centre. In this small city you can go out the the theatre, cinemas, an art cinema, cafes and restaurants. Worth visiting are the Natuurmuseum Fryslân and the Frisian Museum/ Resistance Museum. Very special is also the poetry route, walking through the inner city you'll step on a slab with a poem. Those travelling with children can visit the watery animal world of Aqua Zoo and cycling devotees will love the cycling routes in the area.
Food and Drinks
The continental breakfast is served from 06:00h. to 09:00h. on weekdays and from 07:00h. to 10:30h. in the weekend. The attractive restaurant is open from 11:00h. to 23:00h. and lunch and dinner is served here. If you don't have time to have lunch, the staff is more then willing to pack lunch for you. The pleasant hotel bar is open until 23:30h.

difficult to find!! despite GPS and the fact that you can see the hotel from the main street, it is difficult to find your way in to the hotel - much better SIGNS!! are definately needed!
