Worth visiting are the Natuurmuseum Fryslân and the Frisian Museum/ Resistance Museum. Very special is also the poetry route, walking through the inner city you'll tep on a salb with a poem. Those travelling with children can visit the watery animal world of Aqua Zoo and cycling devotees will love the cycling routes in the area.
