Will not stay here again.
  • + Well situated in Leiden with easy walking access to the city.
  • No free parking nearby and very few paid spots. Hotel does not feel like part of a major chain. The room we had was cramped because the two beds were 6 inches from the wall where there was a beam keeping them from being pushed back further. All plugs were out when we got into the room and the heat had not been turned on. The window overlooked a small enclosed balcony that was ugly and blocked any view of the outside street. The shower head was so high on the wall that I could not adjust it.
  • * my tip Don't come with a car.

Good, fairly priced hotel in Leiden city center.
  • + Good location; convenient access to the city center and the university, as well as restaurants.
  • Club on ground floor on the weekend was unappreiated; too noisy to be in a hotel.

Reasonable room with space for kids
  • + The family room was great for us, since it had two bedrooms. We have three small kids, so two shared the king-sized bed, and one slept in a travel bed that we brought. The location is perfect -- walking distance to the train station and downtown Leiden.
  • On-street parking only, which is 12 Euro/day and sometimes tricky to find. The hotel is pretty bare-bones, with a fairly depressing lobby, if you want to call it that, and breakfast room. It is perfect if you don't need all the bells and whistles, just a clean, safe place to stay.

A special athmosphere
  • + huge windows, special athmosphere, wooden floors, very friendly staff
  • seemed quite provisional, I guess because opened just recently. For example, wardrobe had doors that were not easy to open (bad quality?). The cooler in the breakfast room was humming to loudly.

TOP LOCATION HOWEVER FOR WORST SERVICE!
  • + It's relatively affordable price in comparison to other hotels in the city and location.
  • The worst service ever experienced. Not sure, however whether it is the management or the staff to be blamed.

Great Choice!
  • + This was a wonderful choice. The rooms are spacious and bright. Everything is newly renovated and tasteful. The staff is excellent. Lieden is a great alternative to Amsterdam. It is so close by train to both Schipol and central Amsterdam but it has the charm of a smaller city.
