Location is great and the front desk is very helpful.

Soap was replaced every day even if we had not used it all. Lights in the room need rewiring. Bed side light on right side of bed as you face it was controlled by the switch on the other side of the bed. Very annoying when one wants to read at night.

Nice, well fit out hotel in a great location

Great location, close to the station and only a short walk to town. The room was nice and neat - well fit out, as was the bathroom. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful.

The sensor on the bathroom light could be a bit annoying if someone got up in the middle of the night, especially the delay in turning off. Once staff member was a bit surly but that seemed to be out of character with the Dutch people who in general I found to be quite friendly.

1. I booked for a business room and they gave me a regular room, giving not clear explanation. 2. People at reception desk absoloutely not nice, as experienced either on this last occasion or in a previous one in May 2008. 3. Rooms, at least which ones I have been, not nice and expensive for what they are. 4. The location is excellent, close to central station and LUMC and to the center, maybe some change in rooms and people would be needed. I would clearly not go back to this hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was cleaned each day and towels exchanged. General hotel cleanliness was good too. Breakfast had ample choice. Room request was acknowledged and recognised for quietness.

If late at breakfast there didn't seem to be a place laid, although when asked it was immediately put right.

WIRED internet connection which had to be paid for in ONE HOUR or TWENTY FOUR HOUR blocks (starting from time of login and finishing ONE or TWENTY FOUR hours later, regardless of use or lack thereof). Also bed sheet had a coffee stain on it, so I assume it hadn't been changed after the previous guest.

The bed rooms are clean and comfortable, but spartan. Very conveniently situated, though traffic and train noise disturbed me in the night. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Comfortable lounge. Will definitely use the hotel again.

It is not really a four star hotel. Directions for broadband connection were poor and I was unable to make the link work.

Great location. Pleasant staff. Comfortable beds and clean.

Our checkout bill reflected 175 euros in over-charges.....there was a 112 bar bill for 4 bottles of liquor charged to our name, 4 breakfasts we did not eat, and another small misc. bar bill. The clerk produced a typed receipt for the bar bill with our name....but it was still fradulent. They did delete these charges, but we were quite shocked.

was generally unimpressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. There was mould on the ceiling in bathroom, the skirting boards and carpets alongside them looked as though they could do with a good hoover. Minibar with no bottle opener? TV did not receive all the channels advertised Surely must be more than one lift for service staff to use in the morning. They never once offered to leave the "tiny" lift in order that guests could use it. Bed felt quite soft but that is a personal thing.

central location

We stayed in this hotel in a party of 4 - 2 double rooms were booked, one for a full weekend and the other room for one night, this was a 30th wedding annivsary celebration. On arrivial only one room was available as there was an over-booking. Due to a busy weekend,the hotel failed to find alternative accommodation and the 2nd couple had to travel to Breada to get a room. Needless to say, this took the joy from this special visit, regardless of how comfortable the hotel was!

Op zondag was het erg hectisch bij het ontbijt. Verschillende dingen waren op en werden wel bijgevuld (na enige tijd wachten), andere dingen waren helemaal op. Het personeel gaf aan dat er plotseling meer gasten waren gekomen en dat ze met te weinig personeel waren. In dergelijk hotel lijkt mij dat ze hierop qua personeel, maar zeker qua eten op moeten kunnen inspringen,

Golden Tulip Leiden? DOEN!!!

Uitstekende ligging tov Centraal Station en het stadscentrum. Ondanks de zakelijke uitstraling ademt het hotel een warme, vriendelijke sfeer. Compacte receptie met veel aandacht voor de gast. Bijzonder sfeervolle lounge. Prima en zeer smaakvol ingerichte kamers die bovendien erg schoon zijn.

De prijs is aan de hoge kant. Deze ligt gemiddeld € 50,00 per nacht hoger met vergelijkbare hotels. Het ontbijt is karig, dit strookt niet met de hoogte van de kamerprijs.

We komen weer eens graag terug!

*Erg vriendelijk, klantgericht personeel, zonder een gekunstelde air. *We mochten de auto op de dag van het vertrek laten staan, zonder dat hier kosten voor in rekening werden gebracht, hierdoor konden we ook van deze dag nog een relaxte vakantiedag maken. *Ik vroeg een kamer laag in het gebouw en die kregen we ook. *Heerlijke bedden. *Gratis koffie- en theefaciliteiten op de kamer. *Heerlijk ontbijt.

*Van de warmwaterbadkraanknop van kamer 110 laat het chroom los. Ik pakte de knop vol beet om hem open te draaien en sneed me in mijn duim. *Het badwater loopt moeilijk weg. *'s Morgens hoor je de al vroeg het drukke treinverkeer en daarna het sanitairgebruik van overige gasten in het hotel.

er was gezegd door hotels.nl dat het pas gerenoveerd was, hebben waarschijnlijk niet de kamer gekregen die jullie vermeld hadden, wij hadden een badkamer met oud sanitair en vieze kitranden en geen apart bad en douche zoals beloofd.

Goed hotel, maar één ding dat wij misten

De goede en rustige ligging is zeker een groot pluspunt voor het hotel. Ook het personeel is hulpvaardig en vriendelijk.

Voor ons en zeker voor alle rokers (toch nog een grote meerderheid) is de plaats die hen geboden wordt. Ken de nederlandse wetgeving niet, maar het moet toch mogelijk zijn dat er plaats gemaakt wordt (overdekt en verwarmd) waar deze groep kan genieten van zijn verslaving.

Een upgrade krijgen, en vervolgens een technische mankementje.

Wij hadden toevallig een upgrade gehad. Deze kamer was dan incl. stoomcabine. Dus het gevoel was natuurlijk echt heel fijn....

Helaas werkte de stoomcabine niet. Zelfs 's-nachts even bij de receptie nagevraagd of we wel de juiste knopjes bedienden, maar dat moest in feite gewoon functioneren. We kwamen er 's-nachts pas achter omdat we het niet eerder nodig hadden natuurlijk, maar dan kan er helaas niets meer geregeld worden zodat het wel ging werken. Wordt zoiets niet gecontroleerd bij de schoonmaak? Als je ervoor had betaald, zou het nog een grotere teleurstelling zijn natuurlijk. Maar los van de extra dure kamer, heb je nog niet hetgeen wat je dan uiteindelijk wilt.
