Anonymous Nice, quaint hotel and a good value.
9.8
+ This hotel was very quaint and our room was surprising large. It had a separate kitchenette and dining room. This would be an excellent choice for families. Our room had room for at least two adults and two kids, possibly three. The room was very clean as well.
- This hotel does not have 24 hours reception service. You get a key code to open up a secure box where your hotel key is. They didn't provide the code to us until after we had departed for the hotel and we ended up having to pay $10/minute fees to use our cell phone to get the code. Our home base is in the U.S. The only other minus is that the shower curtain smelled of mildew, which is too bad considering how clean the rest of the room and bathroom were. They just need to wash them with the

Anonymous Not good value for money

+ The room was clean and comfortable
- The hotel did not offer good value for money. There was no reception, so that luggage could not be left with the hotel for evening departure, causing considerable inconvenience as the left luggage lockers at the station only take Dutch credit cards, not coin. The breakfast can only be described as a rip-off at €12.50, consisting as it did of a selection of unpalatable processed food such as can be bought for very little at LIDL, and a single cup of cold coffee. The level of service is quite unacceptable for small hotel in a provincial town, which is effectively charging prices which can get you quite a decent hotel in London (and twice what you would expect to pay for similar accomodation in Germany).
Jesper Frederiksen Clean and comfortable value-for-money accommodation.

+ Nice hotel, OK price, good location (walking distance from train station and LUMC).
- Internet not included in the price. Breakfast not included -- I did not have breakfast so I don't know the quality of the food.

M Nice hotel at great location but with poor service
7.2
+ it is close to the city centre, rooms are nice and quite big, good breakfast.
- Service is poor - the lady at the reception was impolite, but others were more helpful. Bathroom was quite cold.
David Blower A bit expensive, but very comfortable, good location
7.0
+ Very comfortable, spacious room. Good facilities. Good location for city centre.
- Rather expensive, charged 7:50 euros to park bicycles in car park.
Paul Fowkes Good location, big rooms, no free wi-fi!!
8.2
+ Close to city centre and train station. Good sized rooms, best rooms are 1 and 4, choose room 1 if you are a smoker as there is an outside terrace from the room. Rooms above have tea and coffee making facilities and a kitchen if required.
- You have to pay for WiFi (12 euros). If there is one thing that annoys me it is prices like this for WiFi access. It should be free or if not free a nominal charge 2 to 3 euros max. If this hotel wants to attract business clients then please offer free wifi!
Ihab Habib Expensive for nothing

+ Good location, 10 mins from centre & close to railway station.
- Suite was expensive with jaded decor. Reception closed at about 6pm and the literature in the romm was basically a rule book with fines for everything - also had to pay full amount on arrival & when we settled for extras (minibar & laundry) they added 5% surcharge for the second credit card payment because it was under 100 Euros! Overall more like an old-fashioned (not in a good way) B&B rather than a 4-star hotel.

+ Difficult to make a judgment of price against quality and comfort. We will use again.
- Just a minor point. Three of us staying over the week end paying a fair price and we get a bill on checking out for three telephone calls for taxis.Should be part of the service.

+ Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, near to town centre without being busy. Good breakfast!
- Poor soundproofing between rooms. No staff members on site after 9pm - this felt a bit unsafe (particularly as a female travelling alone).

+ Covenient, friendly, quiet, very clean - reasonable to good value.
- Only one: being a small hotel, it is unmanned from 9pm onwards. I travel a lot around Europe and often fly in the evening before meetings - so I wouldn't be able to use the hotel because I might not arrive before 9.

+ Very convenient for both the science and medical campus of the University and for the centre of town and the railway station. Very nice staff.
- Rooms are looking a little old given the price, and internet (WiFi) and breakfast are much too expensive.

+ Great location and pretty nice hotel with character.
- Didn't like the fact that we were called by reception on the day of our check out to remind us that check out was at 11:00am when it was only 10:00am.

+ The hotel was cozy, the service excellent and the level of cleanliness and original touches truly exemplary
- I find it frustrating that hotels that are equipped with Wi-Fi charge additionally for that service. I found the price of the hotel to be high enough to merit that service inclusively.

+ Location, quiet
- No lounge, too small reception. I deposited my luggage and negotiated to get at 2pm . But when I arrived at 2pm the door was closed, the bell wasnt heard and I wooried about getting my train. But after all I got my train, but had 10min to wait before the locked door.

+ Great location and price. Just blocks from main square let easy to access via auto. Small hotel w. minimal facilities, but some of us like the smaller venues anyway.

+ I particfuloarly welcomes the facts that you have an elevator, you are within walking distance of the university and the central station and especially that your WEifi worked -- though it should be complimentary......................... Your frant desk was very helpful.

+ A nice house on a nice area, near to the Railway station - the location was important for me. My meeting was in The Hague, and this was well between the airport and the meeting place.

8.2
+ We were kindly upgraded so we can't grumble. Generally a friendly atmosphere with very clean rooms during our five day stay. We would certainly recommend the hotel to others.
- No apparent night service, so in case of an emergency [we travel with kids] we wouldn't have known who to contact. Emercency exits were obviously clear.
Peter Lee Waczek

+ Very near the Leiden train station
- First floor rooms somewhat noisy, due to proximity to elevator room.

+ Staff were pleasant. Hotel's location is exceptionally convenient--only a few minutes' walk from the main station which has rapid service to the airport, Amsterdam as well as Den Haag.
- Since there was no cross-draft in the room it became very hot and stuffy even while the window was open. Even a small fan would have helped a good deal. The optional breakfast at 12 Euros was overpriced and inconvenient--served as room service--hotel has no dining room.

+ Convienient for town centre and railway station. Spacious room. Off road car parking available.
Cathal Maguire

+ The mini bar has drink or you can get it sent to your room at a reasonable price
- The bar is very small in this hotel and is crammed into the reception. This may only effect someone who wants to drink in a large hotel bar.
