Description

Hotel Mariënpoel Leiden is established in a monumental building in 'Jugendstil' style that was erected in 1907 on the Mariënpoelstraat. The hotel lies within walking distance of the centre of Leiden. With the hotel as a starting point, cities such as Rotterdam, The Hague (Den Haag) and Amsterdam, or the beach of Katwijk are easy to reach.

The distinguished façade of this 4-star hotel matches perfectly with the atmosphere of the old university city. The characteristic building is officially listed and has a classical decoration. The outside terrace is a nice place for guests to relax on sunny days. The university, central train station and 'Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum' (academic hospital) are all within walking distance.

The nine hotel rooms are elegantly furnished and provided with all modern amenities. They have a private bathroom with a bath or shower and toilet. In addition, there is a television, telephone, minibar and wireless Internet in the rooms. Valuables can be kept in the safe. The Junior Suites are also provided with a fully equipped kitchen.

Surroundings

It only takes a short stroll from Hotel Marienpoel Leiden to reach the city centre, central train station or university. The city has a history that dates back to the year 860. The old castle of Leiden still remains a silent witness of this era. The charming inner city is characterized by historic buildings and canals.
