  • (Travelling alone)
Well situated hotel, although a bit pricey
  • + Great location, excellent nightlife, in walking distance of most attractions, and easy to find from Leiden Central
  • Price per night is high for no breakfast or bike services.
  • (Young couples)
Worst staffed hotel in Leiden. Do not choose.
  • + Updated rooms
  • No hot water the whole first day with rude responses when inquired. Was told when and where the buffet breakfast was served, however was never told and no signs existed anywhere which stated the breakfast was not in fact free, but quite expensive, for poor quality food. Most expensive breakfast I have found in leiden in my two weeks in hotels and restaurants. Made one order to room service, it took two hours to receive. I would never return to this hotel.
  • * my tip Looks nice inside, terrible staffing and overpriced when compared to other hotels in Leiden.
  • (Travelling alone)
Very good.
  • + Clean, close to central Leiden and the station.
  • Small room.
  • * my tip Close to Amsterdam.
  • (Young couples)
Nice hotel right in the city center of Leiden
  • + Excellent location, small but nice rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff
  • Checkout at 11am. Towels were a bit smelly, probably left in the laundry too long. I'm sure they would have replaced them if we bothered to ask.
  • (Older couples)
Very enjoyable stay at the Rembrandt
  • + Staff were friendly and helpful
  • (Travelling alone)
The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the hotel ideal.
  • (Older couples)
Great location, clean, friendly staff but double room was like a close
  • + great breakfast, friendly, helpful staff
  • room was tiny for a double at 99 Euro
  • (Families with young children)
Perfect week-end trip
  • + The hotel's own restaurant and cafe were excellent - both the food and service. Also very child freindly, which we appreciated.
  • There was no place in the toilet to put your toiletries on. A shelf would work.
  • (Travelling alone)
Very nice hotel, in a suitable location for exploring the Netherlands

Recommended hotel in Leiden
  • + Great location - close to the train station and to the shopping and walking areas. Good quality for the price.
  • The Internet didn't work.
  • (Older couples)
Terrific modern hotel in a traditional building.
  • + Perfect location for exploring the centre of Leiden. Very quiet modern room overlooking the street. Aircon is a boon in summer. Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day and the staff were friendly and helpful.
  • The street outside looks rundown but doesn't impact on the hotel.
  • (Older couples)
A wonderful visit
  • + Dear My wife and I chose the Rembrandt Hotel for its proximity to some of the University of Leiden's Academic Buildings as we had both been invited as External Reviewers for the doctoral defenses of two very talented graduate students at the University. The Rembrandt was an ideal location - not only was the hotel close to the University but also within easy walking distance of downtown Leiden and the Train Station. The room was comfortable and large, the amenities excellent and the service and the restaurant outstanding. On our next visit to Leiden, we look forward to staying once again at this small but elegant hotel.
  • (Travelling alone)
a safe bet for clean, practical place to stay - won't blow you away
  • + very clean, central, very close to station small hotel. good evening food and helpful staff, quiet at night - no noise from street. air conditioning, room decorated quite nicely and relatively recently done. all decor in hotel looks good too. good tv and shower! perfectly fine for a business trip or weekend break - if you are looking for super romantic i would head further into the old part of town as this end is ok but not as pretty and the hotel won't blow you away.
  • situated by cannabis cafés - though not a big deal may not be everyone's favourite location. breakfast expensive and flies on buffet. plastic mattress protector under sheet was unpleasant.
  • (Older couples)
Good location; friendly staff
  • + Very friendly and service-minded staff Good location between central railway station and the historical centre of Leiden
  • (Travelling alone)
Great hotel, comfortable, clean, friendly!
  • + Very nice, spacious room with comfortable beds, nice shower etc. 5-10 minute walk from train station, 1 block from historic windmill/museum. Bars, restaurants on block are convenient.
  • Bars can be noisy at night, however I was there on the night Holland's football team beat Brazil in the World Cup, so it may not have been typical!
  • (Older couples)
Historic and friendly
  • + Close to railway station and the city
  • No free internet in the rooms
  • (Travelling alone)
Cosy hotel with great location in Leiden city centre
  • (Young couples)

Room with a view
  • + Well-situated, modern rooms, staff keen to please. Excellent restaurant. Internet through cable in all rooms.I had a wonderful view from my room. Everything was good value for money.
  • Not very close to Station, though walkable.
  • (Friends)
Nice and clean place, great location
  • + Great location, very clean
  • On arrival, the receptionist wanted to make a copy of my credit card in case i do not pay later. This I find intolerable.
