The building in which Kasteel Wurfeld is establihed, dates from 1640. In keeping with the authentic details, the hotel offers contemporary amenities in a stylish interior. The rustling of the leaves and the bird sounds in the surrounding park create a peaceful environment.
For a good meal and drinks you do not have to leave the hotel, because it houses a restaurant, a bar/lounge and an outdoor cafe. The garden with ponds form the beautiful view from the hotel. For a business meeting in these lovely surroundings, the hotel has three rooms available.
Food and Drinks
Every morning the breakfast awaits you between 07:30 and 10:30 h. On request it is also possible to have an earlier breakfast.
Restaurant de Wintertuin offers 60 seats. In an elegant atmosphere the staff serve lovely dishes, of which many are regional specialities. Besides fixed menus it is also possible to have dinner a la carte. For your dinner you can choose from 90 different wines. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the restaurant is open for lunch and six days a week it is open from 18:00 till 21:30 h. for dinner. On Sunday you can visit the restaurant from 12:00 till 21:00 h.
The hotel has a bar/lounge where you can enjoy a drink. On a sunny day you can sit on the patio and take in the view of the park.

From Kasteel Wurfeld you can make many nice trips by car. You can for instance drive to the Dutch province of Limburg for a day in Maastricht and go for a walk along the historic houses in the village of Thorn. If you're looking for an upgrade of your wardrobe, you are recommended to visit the 90 outlet boutiques of Maasmechelen Village.
