Description
Bed and Breakfast De Hofnar has two locations, close to each other, and both in the centre of Maastricht. The second location is the Capucijnenstraat 35, just one street removed from the Keizer Karelplein. The central location is perfect. Around the corner is Maastricht's most famous square, the Vrijthof square, with many terraces and restaurants. Mostly business men stay at the B&B during the week, with the tables turning at the weekends, when the guests are mostly tourists. Shoppers can indulge themselves in Maastricht's pleasant shopping areas. The evenings are great for going out as Maastricht has many bars and cafés.
B&B De Hofnar has various types of rooms, some of which have private bathrooms. Others have a shared bathroom, located in the corridor. All rooms come with a television and DVD player. There is a common room with games and a coffee machine. Breakfast is also served here. De Hofnar has a bicycle shed in the garden and rental bikes are also available.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served in the breakfast room on the Keizer Karelplein overlooking the magnificent St. Servaaskathedraal. Weekdays from 08:00 - 10:30 and at weekends and holidays from 08:30 - 10:30.
The Hofnar does not have a bar or restaurant. Drinks can be obtained from the refrigerator containing various beverages. You will find many bars and high-quality restaurants close to the B&B.

- De Hofnar does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check-in until 14:00.
- You can only pay cash (not with credit or debit card).
- An additional bed can be placed in the Twin Room Shared / Twin Room Bath on request for €20 a night.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Luggage can be stored at De Hofnar.
Surroundings
The Servaas bridge connects the old city centre on the river Maas with the trendy area of Wyck. Most of Maastricht's centre is a pedestrian zone and you can enjoy strolling through the the city's enchanting streets. You can easily explore the city from B&B De Hofnar as most attractions are within walking distance. In 2009 the Bonnefantenmuseum had its 125 year anniversary. This museum is definitely worth visiting, it has a great collection of contemporary art. Maastricht is also an ideal base for touring the hilly countryside in the province of Limburg.

Once you have transferred your payment, you will receive a code for the front door. Staff are present up until approximately 14:00, after which you can check-in yourself using the code.
