  • + Location was on old side of Town and opposite the Cathedral. It was very convenient for a Walking tour of the city. We loved the ambiance of the old city. The manager was very helpful.
  • Location is noisy.

Reasonable, simple, clean, nice people, fantastic location, recommende
  • + Price (55 euros), clean, good service, trusting (I left at 5.15 AM for the Ryanair flight to London and left cash in my room). The location is fantastic, very close to the main square but quiet at night. Non exclusive shower and toilet were modern, spacious and clean. Helpful service on the end of a phone from people I never met. There was a nice TV but I didn t use it.
  • Very simple, my room had 3 beds which filled the room, but not a problem
  • * my tip Travel in to Maastricht costs around 30 euros but there s a good bus if you can spare the extra 20-30 mins. For 5 euros you get a day bus pass, very useful. The Ryanair flight leaves too early for the first bus. The hotel manager told me a taxi should cost 25 euros to get from the hotel to the airport early morning, which was worth knowing in advance as otherwise the taxi driver was going to charge me 35. Lots of places to eat on or close to the central square. I had a delicious stew at the p

  • + good location (I specially enjoy the sound of bell from nearby church),good view, freely use of the kitchen(breakfast place) for rest.
  • sharing the shower room and toilet, little bit old room(building), no 24 hours reception.

Great Budget accommodation!!
  • + Great location, staff were super friendly and very helpful! Place was clean and had a homey feeling.
  • The budget room was very small, was fine for us as we were not there alot.

Affordable, simple hotel centrally located in Maastricht
  • (Travelling alone)
Cozy bed&breakfast; at the heart of the city with .
  • + Wonderful view of the entrance of the Basilica of Saint Servatius at the lounge. Very quiet in the rooms and in the lounge as well. You can park your bike inside overnight. Clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. Good wifi reception. Placed right in the heart of the city.
  • The shower has a bit of a moisture smell. Bed linen are not that new but pretty clean. No elevator, so hard for carrying heavy luggage two stories up over a narrow and old staircase that makes cracky noises at every step.
  • * my tip Don't bring too heavy luggage, no elevator, small staircase.
  • (Older couples)
  • The Bell in the church adjacent rings all night. it was very hot and with no air conditioning we had to keep the windows open all night we were at the front and pedestrian and traffic noise disturbed our sleep

  • + Had a great stay at 'De Hofnar'. Absolutely loved the location. Very friendly staff and simple but tasty buffet breakfast. Great place to stay for a night or two, excellent quality for the price of the room.

  • + Great! Wonderful and frendly help. Great location , very good value.
  • (Older couples)
  • + Good breakfast and very friendly people
  • Staying at the Capucijnenstraat is not the best place as the building has very little noise isolation. You can hear every move and every noise someone is making :-(
  • (Young couples)
Basilica in my window
  • + Everything was just wonderful- specially view from the room - most cheapest room in the hotel - by the way - so I was laying in my room and could not take my eyes off the magical Basilica that was all just for us. Thanks Hofnar! It was great! ))

Hotel De Hofnar
  • + Great location. Very friendly staff. Have already recommended this hotel to friends, and would be happy to stay here again.
  • (Young couples)
Extremely recommendable
  • + very central location, incredibly good value for money.
  • I thought the surveillance by cameras everywhere in the building destroyed some of the atmosphere although I see that the good price is mainly possible because there is no 24hour reception.
