Surroundings

Crowne Plaza Maastricht can be found in the heart of the city centre, on the east side of the Maas river. Here you will be within walking distance of all of Maastricht's historic attractions. The beautiful Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe cathedral is within 500 metres from the hotel and the Medieval towngate Helpoort is only 400 metres away. Also, the Market (the site of the city hall) and the Dinghuis, a 15th century court building in Gothic style, are within walking distance. Highly recommended, also, is a walk to the lively Vrijthof square. The 10-minute walk will take you across the beautiful St. Servaas bridge over the Maas river.

The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious although expensive.; - The hotel service was terrible. When we arrived the reception clerk said nothing about where we should park or that it was illegal to park in front of the hotel in the parking spaces. We received a 70 Euro parking ticket the next morning so we moved our car to the hotel's parking garage. The hotel reception clerk didn't tell us that we needed a ticket to exit the parking garage and that it would cost us 22 Euro to get the parking ticket.

Housekeeeping phone number - no answer half the time. Housemaid could not read english and our note to keep curtains closed (room windows faces the sun) was ignored so room was very hot.

Anonymous: 17 January 2012; 7.2; + Toen wij de dag van vertrek onderstaande vervelende ervaring meldden was de receptioniste (andere dan de vorige dag) van heel goede wil. Ze vond het heel vervelend voor ons en heeft als tegemoetkoming (waar wij helemaal niet om gevraagd hebben) de parkeerbon niet berekend.; - Hoewel wij via hotels.nl hadden aangegeven een rustige kamer en niet boven de ingangzijde te willen, kregen wij een kamer aan de ingang. Dit met gevolg veel geluid en dus een slechte nacht/ochtend. Wij vragen dit i.v.m. gezondheidsproblemen. Bij het toewijzen van de kamer werd ons verteld dat dit niet bekend was, hoewel wij uw uitgeprinte bevestigingsmail bij ons hadden. The water was warm, but not hot. Certainly a luke-warm shower and definietely NOT hot enough for a bath. Someone came and replaced the temperature handle on the tap, but the water temperature DID NOT CHANGE!! How can a 4* hotel have a water heating system that can not cope with high-demand periods (9am showers?). This was not acceptable and unfortunately ruined our plans of enjoying some relaxing bath time.

Anonymous Vriendelijk Hotel, maar niet goedkoop. Met een geurtje?: 26 December 2011; 7.8; + Vriendelijk Hotel, maar niet goedkoop. Als je wat te verteren hebt is dat geen probleem. Veel leuke winkeltjes in de buurt.; - Eerst naar een kamer gebracht en daar stonk het naar uitwerpselen. Gemeld, er kwam een dame kijken en deze zei hardop dat het wel mee viel, wat we roken was de badkamer..... mmmmhhhhh beetje rare opmerking. Andere kamer gekregen daar rook het wel lekker fris. Later zagen we een loodgieter de kamer binnen gaan er bleek wel wat aan de hand te zijn..... Verder was je gedwongen om Kerst avond het Kerst diner te volgen, anders kon je in de bar eten, maar dan wel alleen de kaart van de roomservice.

Anonymous Wie eine gute Lage zu schlechten Service führt!: 25 August 2011; 5.4; + Die Lage ist schon gut.; - Unsere Tochter, Studentin in Maastricht,wollte am Morgen mit uns frühstücken. Sie ißt maximal ein Tasse Cornflakes, dafür habenwir 26,50 € bezahlt (!!!). Und dies trotz vorheriger Anfrage und Bitte um einen Rabatt - das ist einfach nur rotzfrech. Überhaupt war der Service insgesamt nur mäßig, die Kellner langsam! Monopol eben.Außerdem: Zimmer im ersten Stock-Spinnen an den Gardinen, und nicht wenige!Auch die Fenster waren dreckig.
