Excellent hotel close to everything great food & service

• – Kamer niet al te groot en redelijk gehorig. Wel mooie indeling.

• + Looks good, and very nice staff. Also it's great that they have painkillers at the desk
• – The umbrella we got from the frontdesk (because it was raining) was too small and broken. Also no hotel logo. The other thing is that we forgot our toothpaste. Regular hotels carry their own line of toothpaste but not this one :(

Looks cool but misses a few simple things

Disappointing - will not return

• + Friendly staff. Great location for train station and walking around Maastrict. Room was on side street so nice and quiet.
• – Room was tired looking in need of some refurbishment. Looked grubby so didn't feel very clean. Walk in shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Corridors and reception area looked tired and grubby and in need of some refurbishment. Breakfast - staff worked very hard but there were not enough of them in the breakfast area. Orange juice and yogurt was being filled up using small cartons of cheap quality products. The hotel is called 'Design' but there was nothing special or design about it. Due to the above, not good value for money and will never stay there again.

Wouldn't go back

Expensive for what it is

• – my room was at the front of the hotel and therefore noisy

Very good hotel close to city centre.

• + Nice, clean and comfortable room. Adequate and friendly welcome.
• – You can hear the housekeeping cleaning the next rooms very clearly in the morning. Sounds from the hallway are very audible. The receptionist when we checked out was not friendly or interested.

We would use the hotel again

• + The location is excellent. The staff was great

Not worth the money, stay somewhere else.

• – Room had no basics like soap, coffee material in room dinning room service menu, and no wireless internet as listed. The Gym has three old machines not really a gym. Staff unhelpful and offered no compensation for bad service. The older cheaper rooms probably had all of this.

• + close to / in city centre, short walk from train station. A great restaurant with it, called FLO

• – Given informations in the room about the hotel and it's services are not enough, they were out of warbropes

One Disappointed Customer

• + It's a 3 minute walk from my work. The dark rooms help block out the street noise and allow me to easily get over my jet lag.
• – It really annoyed me that I had to pay 10 euro for internet usage. Especially since it was free the last time I was there. The clerks at the front desk claimed they would talk to the manager about it, but never did. I also got a rate that was 400 euro more than I paid six months before for the exact length of stay (11 days). The maids made my bed but hardy cleaned anything else.

Designhotel ?

• + Very good breakfast. Nice and friendly staff.
• – Nothing mentioned (on fe website) on construction that is going on. We had high expectations with regards to the level of design...., bathroom is very standard, overall 4 stars is questionable....

• – My safe wasn't working when I arrived and asked for it to be fixed the following day but was never fixed for my whole stay (6 nights). Also some dirt and muck on the floor when I arrived and was 3 days before it was cleaned.

A comfortable stay

• + Location, close to train station. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Nice design. Delicious breakfast. Kind and helpful staff.
• – Water bed (room 20; not too bad, but I probably had not chosen that room if given the choice). A fluorescent tube in the courtyard next to the window room was on during the night, too much light inside, even with blinds closed.

• – had a water bed on the ground floor but the bedroom window opened onto the garden where people were sat drinking & talking late on so really quite noisy. waiter service in the bar not very good.
