Hotel DuCasque welcomes you in the city centre of Maastricht with its narrow cobblestone streets and impressive façades. Twenty centuries of history are almost touchably present in a city which has known prosperity as well as a warlike past.

The era of prosperity finds expression in the interior of the hotel. The concept of this design finds its origin in the popular architectural current of the Roaring Twenties combined with a simple Art Deco style. Every morning a breakfast buffet is available from 07:00 to 10:00 h. during weekdays and from 08:00 to 10:30 h. during holidays and weekends. The hotel does not have a restaurant. However, with the variety of terraces, bistro's, grand cafés and predominantly French oriented restaurants, you will find an abundance of culinary possibilities. Happy go lucky

This hotel has a fantastic location, full of character and good value. Nice and quiet also.

No tea or coffe facilities in the room. Hotel looks a bit tired and run down, could do with a lick of paint.

Great location and service

Nice central location overlooking the Vrijthof. Balcony was a nice plus.

On our second night, a big festival was held in the square, so it was extremely noisy into the night. I don't think this is a regular thing though.

The plus was that it was in a perfect location near restaurants, market plaza and shops which was very convenient.

Your minus points come from lack of hygiene in the bathroom area, we had to keep the door closed of the commode area because of the stench was overpowering. Also the toilet in the outside the breakfast area was dirty and the commode was broken and didn't flush.

For a 4 star hotel this was very poor. Rooms small and the overall quality of the hotel was antiquated and drab. There was nowhere in the hotel, outside a general public bar to sit and have a drink otherthan a small room in the reception which if you put three people in it it would be crowded. Coffeee machine there to provide you with a drink..... wow! There was no mention in any literature before we booked, of the major construction site opposite which prevented road access to the front door. The staff on reception were cold and frosty, not welcoming and helpful. We both felt as though we had been staying in a 2/3 star hotel and had been ripped off a bit. With more opinionated customers you could have a problem marketing this hotel as 4 star. We stayed after this in Antwerp centre in a 4 star hotel and the difference was vast. Du Casque again...............certainly not unless management improve the quality and the standard of staff. Will you please pass on these comments, which are meant to be constructive feedback to Best Western Hotels.

Ontbijt is goed; lekkere verse broodjes en scrumbled eggs met spek. Bedden zijn goed. Ruime badkamer. Zeer centrale ligging, ideaal voor te winkelen, Restaurants en uitgaansgelegenheden direct in de buurt.

Kamers zijn netjes maar wel verouderd. 1 personeelslid voor de gehele ontbijtzaal is te weinig, tafels werden te laat afgeruimd. De ligging van het hotel maakt een overnachting duur.

Great service, very kind and helpfull personal, nice location for older people because located in the centre of a city. Certainly an experience to repeat some day!

Perfecte ligging en aardig personeel.

Tijdens het uit checken diende wij enkel nog de parkeerplaats en de toeristenbelasting te betalen. Een wat oudere meneer gaf de factuur waarop werd aangegeven dat de kamers nog niet waren betaald. Na aangegeven te hebben dat deze reeds was voldaan gaf meneer heel stellig aan: "nee hoor, dat kan". Wij gaven aan dat dit wel het geval is en hij herhaald eerst genoemde heel stellig. Hij kwam erg hautain over. Dit kwam erg vervelend over. Na het e.e.a. nagekeken te hebben bleek dat er toch was betaald. In plaats van zijn excuus aan te bieden dat hij fout zat gaf hij zijn collega de schuld terwijl hij hiervan op de hoogte was. De meneer was totaal niet klant vriendelijk en de toon was ook totaal niet prettig. Uiteraard kan iemand een foutje maken maar het is de manier hoe er mee om wordt gegaan. Verder was alles prima.

Die Lage ist hervorragend.

Das ganze Hotel macht einen ziemlich ausgelebten Eindruck. Das schöne Foto des Einganges wie im Internet präsentiert, deckt sich mit den Erwartungen eines 4-sterne Hotels. Die Wirklichkeit war eine herbe Enttäuschung. Am liebsten wären wir wieder sofort abgereist. Das Frühstück war auch mager, nicht mal frisches Brot!Und das in einem Amrath....... Toch een klein beetje een minpuntje.

We vinden dit een fantastisch hotel en komen hier graag, al jaren.

Wij hadden een kamer aan de kant van het plein, en om half 7 ging de schoonmaakdienst al van start,(electrisch wagentje) en kwam een auto van MacDonalds die vrolijk en luidruchtig met een dame van de Mac? aan het uitladen was en tegelijkertijd werden er hekken voor de ridderronde neergezet, het hotel zelf is hier niet verantwoordelijk voor en ik wilde ook geen klacht indienen, maar eigenlijk heeft dit wel onze nachtrust verstoord, we kwamen om een dagje te onthaasten.Eigenlijk wel frapant dat U mij dit mailtje toestuurt, zodat ik het toch kan vermelden.Vandaar dat ik ligging dit keer een 1 gegeven heb.

Goed hotel, met goede bedden.

Centraal gelegen, naast het Vrijthof. Vooral de ontbijtzaal vond ik een groot pluspunt. De bedden in de kamers waren ook goed.

In de badkamer hing een soort 'putlucht'. Het leek net alsof de afzuig-installatie niet goed werkte. Daarnaast liep het afvoerputje van het bad ook niet echt super goed door. Toen ik aan het douchen was, stond ik op het eind in een laagje water.

Weekendje is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar !!

Vriendelijk personeel. Uitstekende ligging, parkeergarage zeer dichtbij. Rustige kamer gevraagd en ook gekregen.

- Hygiene badkamer had beter gekund. Betreffende problemen werden goed en snel opgelost. - Bedden waren erg zacht. - Geen koffie/thee-facilliteit, zoals opgegeven.
