In den Hoof dates back to 1688, when it was already an important rest stop for travellers by horse and wagon. A warm welcome and good service are therefore two things that the hotel has been specialized in for centuries. Close to the hotel you will find the stop for a bus that can take you to the city centre of Maastricht in five minutes.
The hotel also offers many facilities for the business traveller, like a meeting room that can seat up to 20 persons. This room is equipped with video, an overhead projector, and a flip-over. As such, the hotel is an excellent accommodation for your meetings and seminars, and can be easily combined with a visit to the hotel's international restaurant and its endless culinary possibilities.
The hotel has an outside terrace, where you may enjoy a nice drink and the beautiful view when the weather is nice. All rooms are equipped with a television, telephone, and a bathroom with a bath/shower and a toilet.

When do you wish to stay at Hotel In den Hoof Maastricht?
“
Host spoke excellent English and was very accommodating. Tourist information was most helpful. Rooms were very quiet; exactly what we requested. A short but very enjoyable stay, for us as a couple and my elderly mother. Thank you. ”

Surroundings
Hotel In den Hoof is located in the beautiful countryside of Limburg, the southernmost province of The Netherlands. Here you can visit the caves of the St. Pietersberg (the highest land mass in Holland) or walk the 'mergelroute,' a scenic walk past various geological curiosities. This region borders on both Germany and Belgium, so that you may easily pay a visit to Aachen or Liège. A visit to the 'Drielandenpunt' (the point where the three countries come together) in Vaals is also highly recommended. For kids this site has an exciting labyrinth and a fun playground. The city of Maastricht has much to offer for lovers of arts and culture. Museums, shops, or monuments; all can be found within walking distance of the old city.
Food and Drinks
In Hotel In den Hoof you may enjoy a delicious and extensive breakfast buffet that is served between 07:00 and 10:00 h. In the evening, the atmospheric historic building houses a restaurant where guests can enjoy various dishes with an international touch. Also, the restaurant serves many seasonal and regional specialities of the province of Limburg, and the menu is frequently updated.

Friendly hotel, conveniently located
+
Very spacious quad room
Comfortable beds
Friendly reception
Good quality breakfast
Nice walk (10km) starting opposite the hotel
–
Room was on the upper floor with a low ceiling and close to the kitchen vent, which made the room smell of frying oil. Wouldn't be very noticeable on a normal day, but because of the heat, we had to have all the windows open. (No airco, but we wouldn't have expected one because the temperatures are seldom this high in Maastricht).
Also, even at the back of the hotel the noise of the road is very audible.
