From its balconies, Amrâth Hotel DuCasque offers a unique view of the historic square Vrijthof. The hotel is decorated in a sleek and simple Art Deco style. Amrâth Grand Hotel de l'Empereur is housed in a historical Jugendstil building. It's situated in the heart of Maastricht, opposite central station.
In summer, there is a delightful atmosphere on the terraces of the Vrijthof and the square Onze Lieve Vrouweplein. The centre also offers many good restaurants, great shops and historic buildings. Outside of the city you can visit St. Peters cave.
Food and Drinks
Both hotels offer a delicious breakfast in the morning. Amrâth Grand Hotel de l'Empereur has a restaurant with a predominantly French kitchen, here and there with a Limburg accent. There is an informal bar as well.
Amrâth Hotel DuCasque has no restaurant, but the city centre has much to offer in the culinary field. In the summer it is nice to sit on one of the terraces around the squares Vrijthof and Onze-Lieve-Vrouweplein.

- close to station and easy walk to city centre
- The noise from the airconditioning was too loud. However this did block out the noise from the busses outside. The kettle and bathroom sink were derelict.

- Airconditioning maakt veel lawaai. Bij uitschakeling verplicht een raam te openen en dan blijft het nog een benauwde kamer.
Badkamerwasbak zeer verouderd, hard aan vernieuwing toe.

- Prima als je er niet te veel tijd wilt doorbrengen.
- Ideale ligging zo vlak bij het station. Je kunt je bagage al eerder daar laten opbergen en ook na uitchecken nog laten staan. Goede service.
- De kamers zijn heel erg klein, weinig ramen en echt alleen geschikt om te slapen. Duur ontbijt enz.

- Prima verblijf voor een weekendje
- Lekker dicht bij het station (alleen oversteken, ideaal met de koffers). Zwembad. Vriendelijk personeel. Prijs kamer was door de mystery deal aantrekkelijk, anders vind ik de kamers wel duur.
Bedden waren goed. Prima verblijf gehad.
- Uitzicht kamer (216) en bereikbaarheid kamer; via 3 etage en dan 2 x een trapje af. Voor ons geen probleem, maar voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn zijn niet alle kamers even makkelijk te bereiken.
